The Tamron lens has "Moisture-Resistant Construction" & a rubber gasket, so in other words saying it isn't weather sealed is wrong. Having the term "Moisture-Resistant Construction" combined with the rubber gasket says "Weather Sealed" to me just as much as how Fuji use the term "Weather Resistant" when referring to their own weather sealed lenses.

Cool video and review. Just an FYI, your video has quite a number of codec artefacts, either from your export, or from the conversion done by KZfaq.

Honestly, my experience is that weather resistance is overrated and doesn't matter. I've used the Fuji kit lens on all sorts of hikes for almost 6 years in northern norway, hanging from my chest in light rain, fog, hot summers and skiing in winter in for several hours in -10C. The lens still looks like new. As long as you're not drowning the lens on purpose it should be fine.

Would you be able to review the Fuji 18-120 F4 PZ? I would like to know how it compares with this Tamron and the Fuji 16-80 F4.

Is the quality of the FUJIFILM XF 16-55 all that different and better? Because at the long end, that is not that good? And is it really parfocal?

Unfortunately versatility and impressing specs come with the cost of size. Anyway, it seems to be great lens. Happy to share your review and keep up the good work! :)

Not sure about his, but I have an L-bracket for my XS10 that should fit the xt3 from "3 legged thing" company. Ellie Universal L-Bracket system

$1200!! Ahhh that's right you're from Australia =) also the local camera store here has this listed as dust and moisture resistant, so I'm pretty sure that means weather sealed, just in their own lingo.

Interesting video👌 17mm is not wide enough and the main minus point is that this lens isn’t par focal like the Fuji xf16-55mm

It’s a great lens for photo. For video it’s great as long as you DONT zoom while filming. The distortion as you zoom is terrible on a video piece.

Have had the Tamron for the last 2 months, and yes it is everything you've described it as, unfortunately it's just too large for my needs, I only really use zooms when traveling, primes for everything else, so I'll be swapping it for the 16-80.
