I just bought a all white 2013 FJ 4x4 with 8,000 original miles on it and I absolutely love it. I paid $35,900 for it. It is equipped just like the one in the video. I could not be more happier. I get in it and it still has the new car smell. I agree prices are increasing on these vehicles, but I've been looking for a gem for two years, and found my dream car. Mind you, I could have gotten anything I wanted, new raptor, sports car, but I chose this beast. A true man's car! When my friends get in it, they get out wanting one. What I love most, in a parking lot, it really sticks out. FJ owner forever!!!!!!!

I own a 2013 Trail Teams FJ. I didn't get the JBL speaker option you have. I also noticed you had two speakers in the rear corners as well. Did you add those? They look stock. I don't have speakers in the rear. Also, the Trail Teams wheels are 16" instead of the 17" you see on standard FJs. This is to have higher profile tires that you can let air out of for climbing or off road traction.

And that is it. The only thing we ever changed was the tires and the wiper blades but other than that never changed or had to replace any of the lights, battery, muffler nothing else. Toyota is the most reliable & best engineered automobiles on the planet. Getting my FJ Cruiser was an important step towards getting my very 1st Trophy vehicle. Sadly, one of the worst selling Toyota's in the US market. That's why Toyota canned them. Nothing to do with how well they perform or their reliability, sales killed it. Such a shame. Toyota should have kept it and upgraded it just like the Jeep and the Wrangler.
@mbreckwoldt98135 жыл бұрын
fredbrackely limited cult market in the US. Cost of exporting a fully assembled vehicle from Japan to the US. TACOMA'S , minivans and Camry's bigger sellers. They do hold their value. Fun off road vehicle. Foolish people buy Range Rover, GLK, ML, X5 and mass produced Jeep. Super reliable, well built, and don't rust like the 4 runners and Sequoia's. Definitely buying one next year with a stick. Super popular vehicle in Southern Delaware and the Eastern shore. Great beach buggy. Have to get the roof rack and ladder.

Understandably considering you can can get a 4runner with much better amenities.

It’s a niche market vehicle. And after the market became saturated Toyota knew there was planned obsolescence in its sales due to the fact that they don’t break. Same thing happened with it’s predecessors here in the US. but look at the value of those old fj landcruisers. Now the FJ value is increasing. Highest resale value vehicle on kellyBB and Edmunds.com and any local Toyota dealer or private party if you can find one. They still make them brand new everything original but assembled in the Philippines for 2019. Elsewhere on KZfaq shows a brand new black one on the dealer showroom floor for around 35K USD. Cash only is around 30K USD without all the emission bullshit though so I don’t think they can ship to US.

Have a '07 with 130K miles. Had a Tacoma... and researched all types of trucks and SUVs for months before deciding on this weird looking vehicle. Hands down, best vehicle I've ever owned... and I've owned plenty. Consumer Reports screwed up bad by not recommending the FJ, and plenty of owners let them know it. Mileage is no worse than many SUVs and the limited vision with the outside mirrors is essentially eliminated by adding medium-sized convex stick-on mirrors. Add-on accessories are endless. You can't go wrong with this vehicle unless you've got several kids with really long legs to haul around. In all, this is one of a rare few vehicles you can take to the apocalypse!! On a lighter note, do you know of any other production vehicles that come with speakers in the ceiling? In my job I never know where I'll end up on a given day. What I do know is that I may get lost, but I won't get stuck.

Just bought a 2007 FJ with only 75,000 miles. Love this rig!

Congrats! You'll love the day that you've paid it off. I paid off my 2014 just 6 months ago. It's mod time now.

They are still in production. Just not sold in the U.S.

Cool review man. The huge C-pillar is designed that way for engineering reasons due to the abscence of a traditional B-pillar. Love the FJ's, yes they are ugly and weird, you either hate or love them. It is a well built machine.

Should I buy a 2wd 2007 Toyota FJ with 125000 miles for $8500? It has a full exhaust, upgraded radio, backup camera. No accidents

I really want one, I'm based in the EU so looking at maybe importing from Japan. Anyone done this themselves before at all? I'm googling the shit out of that now.

This is one of the cars on my bucket list. Really didn't like cluster phobic feeling behind the wheel, but haven't actually driven one to know. All I know is that it is reliable as a Toyota and 9/10th as good as a Jeep, AND still better to travel in than a Jeep, albeit slightly so.

I love my Fj

My favorite FJ is the 4Runner, looks better, better rear visability, with the 3rd row you can fit more SOB's and slimer on the trail.

The 4Runner isn't an FJ, it's a Hilux

They still make them in the Philippines. Elsewhere on KZfaq brand new 2019 Toyota vehicles on showroom floor is brand new fj cruiser 4wd auto with all the bells in black with newer interior trims. Around 35k USD

ding174 can one import one to the US is that possible lol
@ding1745 жыл бұрын
They build them in Japan. So you order through Philippine dealer and they ship it direct from Japan to the 🇺🇸
@jackbirbeck49145 жыл бұрын
ding174 any Philippine dealers you know of?
@ding1745 жыл бұрын
Go on the internet and search for them and they show their inventories. Some kind of contract with Toyota to continue producing them for Philippine market. They come with the crawl control as option. Factory snorkel is also an option.

at what mileage would you overhaul/change ENGINE,,,,,,,,,,,ONELOVE,,, I own a 2007 fj v6 4x4
@tyleroneil23097 жыл бұрын
That's a tough one to answer. I don't know if there is a set mileage or hour mark for an overhaul. If i were you i would drive it until it fails. You could look on the forums too. I'm sure someone has asked a similar question.
