Just extended my Pacifica lease 2 months as lease deals are not good. All the sudden, US Bank came through with gret deals this month and I saved $80/mo over quotes from 5 other dealers. Jumped on it yesterday. Here is the deal: Pacifica Touring L, $39,250 MSRP, $0 downpayment, 42 months, 12k miles, taxes 8.5% =$448.11/mo they ate the disposition fee of $699 on prior lease

So I'm in an unusual pickle where I have my leasedbvehicle in my possession 6 months now past my lease contract date. With no new contract in place. The dealership lied to me. there was some funny stuff going on. And long story short they had paid off the vehicle before I agreed to get in new contract with them. Then I left the dealership with my vehicle. The dealership got their money back from the bank. But it wasn't registered in the bank's system. So as we fell out of contract the bank's records indicated paid in full even though they had returned to the dealership the check. The dealership was holding on to a title that they hadn't paid for. And then I finally figured it all out. Now I'm trying to register my vehicle so I can drive it again. But I want to renew the registration without the bank's name on it. So I'm trying to find out the technicalities before I go to the DMV and try to sell it too my boyfriend for $5 :-) so I can update registration

Nissan does not offer lease extensions anymore. I tried this on my 2017 Maxima which I leased for three years in December 2017. Even if I could had extended it monthly, there would have been a few or non-existent Maximas to choose from beyond my turn in time, Dec 2020. So, I leased another Maxima that month. I was told holding out for a 2021 Maxima would have been more expensive with no guarantee of incentives. I would have had to drop down to an Altima.

My lease on a Infiniti QX50 is about to end in 10 days. The dealership I bought the car from went out of business. So I went to another Infiniti dealership with the intention of buying the car. The contract states I can buy the car for residual value plus a $300 purchase option fee plus tax and official fees. Well the dealership also tacked on a $995 Doc Fee. I went to another Infiniti dealership and they did the same thing. Is this normal practice or just dealership BS? Anyway around this? Infiniti Finance was no help and more or less said too bad your on your own.

There's no way I can remember all this.The place I leased is old school, Wear them out, Keep them hanging on next offer, Claim the bank I wanted was a little leary so the agreement I signed was with Ford. Their offer on my trade in was $1000 short on the sale agreement, Just happen to have a lease pickup sitting out front. at 12pm to 4pm as I was walking out the door. Is there a service the could meet me at the dealer when it's time to negotiate for another and act as a surrogate?

If you gave a larger than required down payment, your monthly payment will be lower than normal. Wouldn’t that mean the extension would be at a higher monthly payment?

You get taxed on the monthly payment if you extend.

Hey Ari, I’m in the same situation my lease end contract date was due today but I extended my lease. Not sure what to get now, since I haven’t seen no attractive lease deals. So I extended my lease for one month it’s due back August 15th. The supply is low on cars right now so the demand is up, so I’m hoping things get better ASAP.

Can tell this is a year old video! I would assume most vehicles are worth MUCH more than the residual now My residual on a2019 silverado is 27k. Same is at dealer for 36k. Another example is a 2019 odyssey residual is 19k selling for 26k at dealer! I can buyout lease, pay taxes, sell it privately, save the buyer 2 k and still make 2k easily!!! Had offers for more but I’m not greedy like dealers are! Dealers have never made more $$$ i history! Don’t give $ to dealers even if you can “afford “ it! Help the little people like most hard working Americans are!!!!

if you extend your lease.. you can continue to chip away at the car's value so if you decide to keep it, you knocked it down a couple of dollars plus if anything breaks its covered by the lease.. sounds about right?
