The thing about Chixia is that while she can't shoot all of her bullets, I found her very good against bosses. Her dodge counter does a lot of damage (almost half the final skill shot POW POW damage), so she always has a DPS window. Because if the boss is doing nothing, you can press E and shoot the bullets, and if the boss suddenly starts attacking, you can just dodge counter all the hits and deal damage to him; you don't even need to parry. Even better, while melee characters have to chase the boss all across the field when they dash/fly, Chixia can just keep shooting them nonstop. So, while in theory her DPS is not good, in practice it is very reliable and constant.

Tier list is good, but right now we are not high level enough to do tower of adversity, so we can't collect practical data about characters' performance. I guess theoretical damage tier list provides litmited insights, but it's still better than nothing. Just don't follow it blindly and wait for more time for people to experience with different stuffs.

Thats exactly why i use jianxin as my main solo until yinlin comes out cause screw dps tierlist If you good at the game and you play well your character kit there will rarely be instances where you would not be good Just having a hard time soloing monkey with jianxin cause he resist aero Great vid man appreciate the info

a character may be strong but you may not necessarily like their playstyle which is apparent for me in wuthering waves, i benched my s2 jiyan for calcharo and havoc rover cause i like their appearance and move set more

taoqi has been my favourite so far, unfortunatly I will have to agree that her damage is lower, but they did such a good job with her kit making you feel like a tank who can just power through almost anything and then counter back and having ur main damage moves scale off def is a neat touch.

I definitely am not getting as much out of Encore as I should be because I just suck at playing her. This isn't a turn by turn game in which th character's performance is just based on numbers. If you can't play them right and can't get the feel for them, unless you're willing to invest a few hours into training, forcing them onto the team because the tier list said so is a waste of time. It's the same as fighting games: in UMvC3, for instance, despite there being a meta, it wasn't rare for odd picks to appear in tournament topping teams, because the player just felt better using them than the most optimal pick on paper.

idk man, in my experience with 2 accounts I feel the difference crystal clear between Danji and Encore. With Danji (+mortefi n verina) I needed a lot of investment to beat the first 4 stages of adversary tower full stars (Im confident with my gameplay mechanic). But on my 2nd account using Encore+Sanhua+verina, I cleared the exact same content full stars at lvl 50-40-40 with all 3 of them using trash blue/green echoes with bare minimum upgrade. And then I went to defeat all Hologram Bosses I without upgrading anything. Ofc Encore's team demand more gameplay mechanic than danji since it heavily utilize animation swap cancel but I'd say it's totally worth it.

mortefi got really highy rated from the starrt but i just dont like his playstyle, so thats a biiig factor with units

Honestly I didnt know how strong Encore was, but even before looking at the tier list. I thought she was doing big damage. So didnt think she would be T0 on this tier list, but glad I did get her off the beginner banner tbh she is just really satisfying to play and just deletes everything

I think if they highlight cons more than focusing on DPS it's a bit more valuable. Some of them do state hard. I've found the xiao dude really easy and forgiving to play, having a lot of damage really helps. Trying danji, she's a glass cannon making her harder to play than him. Testing aalto can def see faults with his concerto buildup being very slow, so might consider sanhua in place as a subdps but his mobility is top tier which is never mentioned. His buffs are a bit hyperfocused too on anemo(i really hate the names of elements in this game..). Some bosses also are easier ranged vs melee if they mostly do close attacks only and have easily dodgable/telegraphed ranged attacks.

The fact that different characters perform better in different bosses just because they play mechanically different and its not just about raw dps numbers and elemental advantage makes this game so interesting.

I just saw a KZfaqr called "Jenazad" clear Mourning Aix 6 with Chixia so yeah, tier list is whatever cause it's mostly just skill issues if you can't clear something.

True, People don't really know what they are talking about. The big One from my experience is Jiyan vs Calcharo/Encore/Lingyang. The difference on how Easy Jiyan to Reach Max capacity is Way easier compared to those character. Calcharo+Yinlin Or Encore+Sanhua is indeed Insane combo, But people do not take consideration how hard it is to reach that Level consistently

All the standard 5* are viable pick who you enjoy is more important because this game value player skill more. A good jianxin will still be able to clear at endgame Dungeon.

Wuwa is thankfully the kind of game that probably won't suffer too hard from powercreep or obligatory features from new characters. Any well built unit can solo anything and it all boils down to skill issue (sans timed challenges I suppose). It's really fun doing solo Yuanwu or Taoqi in bosses even though my Encore does more damage than them.

why would I need verina to heal my danjin when she'll go right back to 1 hp. Taoqi shield will save danjin for me better with bell and she'll get busted with copies. There's also 2 more very big reasons to play her.

I think rather than "you shouldnt trust" is more "you have to seek for the full information more so if its in another language", because many cc's have sayd this is a tier list considering perfect mobs, perfect rotations, etc, which in my opinion its completely fine, but of course there are others that didnt even bother to use a translator and call it a day saying "Jiyan got mega nerfed, unplayable" just to attract views

I've seen a fully built Chixia deal more consistent damage. In fact she's got more sustained dps due to her being able to just safely score hits from a very safe distance. Also, no offense, but from what I saw from your Chixia gameplay, you weren't playing her the way she's supposed to be played. Of course if you play her in melee range then she'll definitely be outclassed in terms of damage because instead of her firing from afar, she now has to keep dodging because she's now too close to the boss, at that point you might as well use a melee character. I feel like you're being disingenuous because someone ranked Chixia higher than Danjin.

People need to realize how good Taoqi is when you don't play her the way she is intended, just play her with the healer set and bell tortoise echo, swap in, skill, echo, swap out ; good job you've buffed your carry for no field time ; you're going to say that Verina does that too, but Verina generate lot of concerto energy so I'd rather have her on the energy set with Heron. I main Chixia so I started looking into Taoqi for her outro, saddly it is of no use because she generate too little concerto but as a Chixia main I value field time a lot cuz Chixia need a lot to dish out her damage. Also if I want to I can still do Taoqi intro timed counters to get the shield as a security, and the shield will tank stuff cuz I'm getting 65% damage reduction on 3 hits by buffing anyway.

Tbh, I don't need to read chinese, to understand this particular Tierlist is kinda trash from the get go, Rover Spectro might be not that useful compared to other which provide buffs, but hell no she isn't T3, same tier of Yuanwu on the supporter tab? Those 2 are barely supports, what removing more of the vibration gauge is support, then Yinlin a supporter as well. or some heals from Rover with Liberation... So far the only tierlist which I personally find accurate enough is Prydwen's maybe beside Taoqi placement, we don't need a tier 3, she might not have a main dps of the sorts but still. Also, I feel like rotations are all completely useless, you do what the battle requires, wait a bit for parry, dodge counter attacks which some are skips in their basic attack chain for example. Switch in someone else for x reason. Unless enemies are training dummies you won't ever do it perfectly.

It doesn't sound correct to just say as a blanket statement don't listen to tier lists, some of them by the more trusted creators actually take realistic damage attainability into account and they put a lot of work into them. THIS specific chinese theoretical tierlist with no context might deceive some people but tierlists in general are not untrustworthy on average.

Verina may be broken, but she's so useless in a few fights, particularly your example of the stupid freaking Mephis thing. She can't parry all of his attacks reliably, takes way too much field time to build concerto, even if you have the right weapon and stuff for it, and you get such small amounts of dps time that her buffs are generally a waste of time. Mephis was like, designed to be perfect soloed by Danjin, and almost any other team is just brutal. Calcharo mains in particular gonna struggle on this undead lightning zombie. Jinyan isn't great either, surprisingly. He's the only hologram I can't currently beat on Difficulty 4 (I don't have Danjin built).

Any gacha is like this when you blindly trust the internet instead of just reading the kits yourself, for ex it should have been obvious that bennet sucrose xingqui xiangling etc were op in genshin but if you go look at those early tierlist it was all keqing diluc klee lol never trust anyone who is sponsored (or even if they arent) edit* another example is in early HSR when you needed double sustain to clear endgame, but by now our dps is so strong that you can clear with 3 buffers no sustain, so natasha bailu were S tier but now they are D tier lol
