There are a total of 48 islands and islets in Siargao. You need to do island-hopping to enjoy the beautiful sceneries. You can do snorkeling in white sand beaches with pristine water.

Hi Jonathan, the gorgeous footage of the Sunsets with the Orange and Purple glow made up for any parts that were darker. I always marvel at the food prices in those little markets for the quantity of food and the reasonable prices. I can see why in your last video you commented that you might move to Siargao as it is such a stunning place. All of the beautiful Coconut and Palm trees are so plentiful. Very comprehensive and very informative tour video, Jonathan! I've been a subscriber since I saw you playing with kids in Pasay hitting cans with slippers! Very nice that you are in Siargao right now. Perhaps you should check local lady, Marielasin, married to an Australian and how they live fishing in a hut in the ocean. You may contrast their life with that of the Swedish couple Emy and Johann who are also living off the grid over there. Someone like Mariel would be a perfect partner but you are in a place where you have an opportunity to meet and mingle with lots of foreigners! Keep up the good work as well as have fun!

When consuming a ripe Jackfruit, it is important to tear it apart to discard the seeds and the soft outer covering (brownish). One should only eat the soft outer meat covering (yellow). The brownish fruit known as Santol is also called Cotton Fruit or Wild Mangosteen. It has a sour taste due to the thick soft flesh, and the seeds should not be eaten. The soft flesh of Santol can also be cooked.

Hi, Siargao is already in Mindanao Jackfruit is being sold here at Whole Foods, staff are amazed at how it looks and I make them smell it! That’s my favorite fruit And yes, it’s always with seeds.

2 words - kermit pizza. best pizza I ever had outside of Italy - better than any pizza in the USA I ever tried. Should be a business to support too as that place was destroyed by the hurricane and they had to start again from scratch. The pizza is 10 out of 10. Damn good pasta too.

I was last month in Davao City and ate Durian and mangosteen for the first time in my life.😊

Santol is like mangosteen but when you peel the 1st layer(brown/orange skins) it can be eaten. Some santol are sweets or sour. Bro ✌️

Locals understand jackfruit more so as "langka". The other pre-packed fruit u were pointing/asking about beside the jackfruit pack is called "santol" (cotton fruit) and it has been pre-peeled.

Your videos always make me want to visit the Philippines (and Thailand). And my departure date is August 7. I am really looking forward to it.

Since jackfruit is huge it doesn't grow on the top of the tree. The fruit grows at the lower part of the tree. It's covered with a soft sack to protect the fruit from pests. Until it's ready to be cut off from the tree. If you plant jackfruit at least 5 years it will have fruits.

Hey Jon, lot of things change in Siargao, tourist demographic change ,it was all dirt road back in late 80’s and early 90’s mostly eupropeans tourist . Glad your showing the whole circle ,people, geography, vives by the way siargao is part of Surigao so basically your in mindanao, maybe you can film dinagat island its near siargao via pumpboat but check situation first for safety. Visit the virgin Islands of Leyte.. Underrated, Undiscovered Islands much more prestine, amazing and beautiful than Palawan or Boracay. White soft sand and sandbar omg ⛰️🌵🌿🌴🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️🌊🌊🌊🌊⛱️

There is the other KZfaqr living over there in that Island and her name is Barbie and she goes by her KZfaq name Island Barbie. She is from your country too and settled into Siargao selling ice cream from a bridge (I don't know where or what the bridge name is called but it's crowded always) for a living, got into a dragon boat competition in Boracay and they recently won. Maybe you can consider visiting her and maybe you can eat her favorite "Tinolang Manok", she is currently hunting for "town fiestas" and she knows some beatiful spots (not common) to visit in Siargao together with her gay buddy. Love to see your video together, she already collab with Jelena Kopelic (another KZfaqr) who longs to stay in the Philippines...
