Upon hearing and reading many mixed reviews on the Umarex M110-A1 SDMR Licensed By H&K, I decided to buy one and test it out myself. Very amazing all rounded platform, whether you play as a DM (Designated Marksman) or Sniper Role in your style of approach. Hope to field it soon in a match.

Thank you! I’m gonna do an upper disassembly soon :) and also hopefully some more range tests/zeroing once my friend is available. Considering building and installing an aftermarket hop up assembly as well. We shall see in due time!

How’d you get the orange tip off ?

Press a flat edge into the grooves at the end of your flash hider, apply force and rotate it counter clockwise. The glue seal will break and it should come off with ease. The retaining clip is for show, no need to mess with it at all.

What suppressor did you get for it? Also, did it just screw onto the threads or did it fit over the original flasbhider?

www.evike.com/products/26303/ Flash hider comes off it’s a true threaded barrel. Just have to break the glue seal, and keep in mind the threads are Counter Clockwise (CCW)

I had one on a .36g it was coming out at 1.55j on my chrono. I bought it in 🇬🇧 but didn’t keep it sold it on once you goto gbbr aegs just don’t do it for you

I love mine. I used to have a PTS KWA Masada GBBR, didn’t really care for how much gas it went through. And it always seemed to double feed and jam even brand new out of the box when firing full auto. Don’t get me wrong, I love the realism factor and attention needed for gas rifles, I may end up grabbing another soon. But I’m definitely thinking VFC if I do and staying far from KWA. It’s just a shame they are the only company that makes the ACR/Masada in a gas model :/

@@Kalashniklaus tm mws/ak gbbr or vfc gbbr. I’ve had a mws sold it and got a akx. Got a saiga but I’ve cheated with that and have a hpa adapter for it. Cheap gas rif to get a tm mp7. Pink flamingo hop up rubber and a aftermarket nub is in mine is lifting .36g no issues. Can be used in cqb or holds it own for woodland games. Just watch out for joule creep as mine during summer runs close to the limit for here in uk it’s 1.13j or 350fps for full auto capable rifs.

It´s a normal V2 Gearbox not a 2.2 and change the mag spring, the original one is to weak to pull up the bbs when near empty.

I’ve noticed, the mag spring fails to feed when 5 rounds are left. This was right after I first purchased it. I’ve used it a lot more since and should be doing a final thoughts video soon. If I’m not mistaken it’s an Avalon Vega Force gearbox, which is a step up from what I had originally mentioned

@@Kalashniklaus i have 3 vfc guns at home. Hk416, avalon carbine and now the m110 and all has the same internals and gearbox since 5 years or so 🤷‍♂️ If you have some old m4 mags wich u dont use anymore u can use the mag feather from them and cut it to the right length. U dont even have to loose all the screws from your m110 magazine to change the feather, theres a hidden screw behind a sticker where you can pull out the old feather. @@SL4Y3R308 will do, I currently have been looking at an aftermarket hopup unit. The Prometheus elite looks promising, however for VFC 417s it says on the page that extensive modification is required. As far my next gun I’m thinking either the Avalon SOPMOD, the 416A5 or the Avalon Calibur II PDW. Any thoughts?

@@Kalashniklaus i live in Germany and we have a famous Airsoft youtuber (Reaper Airsoft) that made a 3D print so you can change your hop up unit to any aftermarket one. I got the blue maxx unit for polarstar and it sits really tight with no room to wiggle 😅 Honestly im no fan from buying an vfc and let it stock. The weapon body are perfect but the internals are shit. In Germany we dont even have the Gate installed so its a lot worse 🥹 I changed My 416 and the m110 to polarstar hpa and the Avalon got a reinforced gearbox with EVERY internal changed 🤷‍♂️

@@SL4Y3R308 that sounds like a dream. I’d definitely want to reinforce an Avalon with better internals, and one day I’d love to put a p* Kythera into the M110 if anything goes awry. I’ll have to see about that hopup unit too! I’ve been researching and all I can really come up with as a great alternative to the stock unit was the Prometheus. However I do worry about fitment so that may be the route I’ll end up going. And I agree, I love the externals of VFC. The internals have been good for me so far but I’d love to end up reinforcing them to get longer consistency. Ah yes I believe I’m subscribed to Reaper! Good stuff :)

The Gate Aster mosfet can mistakenly be set to full auto and safe only. It’s a setting inside of the mosfet

@@deancarmichael6635 Sounds like you accidentally unlocked the full auto feature which is part of the setting inside the control module. You should be able to reset it by firing two shots, holding down the trigger on the second shot, until the mosfet beeps if I’m not mistaken. Then it’s in calibrate mode, where you flip the selector switch and can change the settings of the mosfet. Check out that link it’s very informative step by step on how to change your settings :)
