perth is not that cold according to many people but how are the winters there exactly ? as compared to delhi. because i see temperature going down to 7-10 degrees with rain so i cant understand do i need a heavy jacket or light jacket only.

Temperatures below 10 down to zero celcius are night time only. Day time temperature of most of winter are 17 to 20. Cool temperatures start around mid May. Winter is June to August, Spring September to November. The coldest mornings are in early spring, but days are over 20. By mid November day temperatures are 23 to 25. December is the start of summer at temperatures of 35 to 40 celcius for Christmas is common. Heat here is dry, not tropical so even very hot days are not muggy. Almost no rain will fall in Summer, always sunny and hot.

Living near bush land or forest with lakes or rivers can have snakes active in summer but they are no problem, they will hide in the bush land, not around your house. I have lived in Perth city over 50 years I have seen 4 snakes. If you live in country areas with farms, chickens and mice then there will be snakes but they are not looking to bite people. There is no need to be scared of snakes here, most snakes here can kill people but the medicines to treat are good.
