Many people (including Wilbon it seems) really struggle to think probabilistically. Partly explains why so many are poor at betting.

The overtime probabilities change over the course of the game. They are much lower early on which does not justify going for 2 on every play unless you had a very high conversion percentage.

Because going for two doesn't always increase your probability of winning. Like he said......with an example......in......the.....video.....you...just....watched

@@craigbates2095I think the example applies when a team was down by 14 then scores a touchdown bringing it to an 8 point difference. He’s saying it’s 52% in that scenario.

problem is not all teams succeed at the same rate going for 2 points so the math is flawed
