Why you should level up a Crafting Job/DoH

According to your feedback, there are different reasons why leveling a crafter job may not be your favourite sort of content but here is why you should give it a try anyways.
Above that, with the help of my two leveling guides, where I am planning to do another version (A min/maxed on the Gil spendings version).

One tip i have for new players that are still doing the Main Quests. Do the deliveries for your Grand Company as a Crafter/Gather. You can reach a high level for these classes with minimum time and gil investment. I still go thorugh the Main Quest right now, but have aquired all Crafting/Gatherer Classes and i level them up on the side while doing Main Quests. You also do not have to worry about your Crafter Gear, as you can buy everything from the marketboard (most times this is very cheap, but if it is to expensive just buy the materials and craft it yourself) Just note delivering a High Qualitiy item gives double the XP and this works even better if you are on an preferred server( a server which gives double the XP for classes under lvl 70), which new players will be on most likely anway.

Bro... I just started doing that yesterday by accident, no bs! I'm not even a crafter. I just had all this gear. But u have to do tha lvl 1 GC hunting log first.

Thanks to your other crafter levelling guide I managed to get every crafter and gatherer to 80 in about 2 weeks and I am so glad I did this after finishing MSQ because I can now craft almost anything for my house without spending much money on furniture or decoration, I can now completely craft myself levelling gear in HQ for all my remaining Jobs^^

some advice that helped me and my crafter journey ALOT easier and FASTER is Leveling up Botanist and Miner to 80 first, (Fishing aint important rn unless your making the cp food buff literally the last thing i leveled out of all crafters) i cannot tell you how flippin fast i was leveling my crafters in ishgard just cuz i had botanist and Miner to 80. Level your crafters at the same time btw (I wish i knew that when i was only leveling culinarian) like all 20's and then 30's etc. (learned all this from Desperius Love your videos man youve helped me so much in my crafter journey

I don't know... As a non-crafter, after ~200k gil worth of dungeons, I usually end up broke by buying some random piece of gear because "pretty!" Perhaps that's some advice I should take.

honestly you can make some good gil if you just unlock desynthesis and breaking down the bs drops from dgns or especially any ex primals and sell the mats on MB

just level miner and botanist , I made 13m gil by only them. then star leveling your crafters with this amount of gill you can buy the materials or gather them and a tip for ya level all 8 simultaneously.

@@rayyanchile8728 I would as to this that you should also go goldsmith, blacksmith, and carpenter. Goldsmith and Blacksmith I would go due to the fact that bars sell for a higher price than ores; the same goes for planks over logs for carpenter. Also; jewelry sells pretty decently; so goldsmith is a good double dip.

Def recommend getting Gathers maxed, before crafting. Save your gil.

Yeah I definitely needed this video because I started to ask myself where all the money in the game is made... then I saw a glamour piece going for 500,000 Gil...that’s 4 pieces of exarchic gear

Yes and to craft the material u need for one crafting job you need to lvl 1 or 2 more.

@@Stedfastwolf Gathering tomes are easy as hell to get. It took me a couple hours to get all the white tomes I needed to get the best gathering tome gear for my DoL jobs by just farming timed nodes.

Got all my DOH up to 70 yesterday. It’s been a 4 week grind so far, not using the market. (Have made 10 mil in that time) DOL only took me two days to get done as well.

Anytime I try to get into crafting the problem isn’t the gil. The problem is my limited inventory space. I’m pushing max density as a non-crafter. Whenever I attempt to start leveling crafting again I inevitably run out of room for mats and by the time I clean house I just burn out my interest.

I got most crafts to 60 but I need to focus on the msq it gets so overwhelming with the amount of things to do I need to stick to one thing else you will find pieces of my brain all over eorzea !!

even if you don't craft anything u can save up a lot of repair gold by just buying grade (x) matter with Gc seals and repairing gear yourself

Crafting seems very interesting with macros. Its like the more you learn the system the easier it gets to use it.

personally just did gc turnins till 60 then deliveries +story quest to get to 71 for dwarf/leve etc to 80

Playing since ARR and never bothered with them. Gathering its just clicking on shiny spots over one million times because SE didn't bother placing actually a texture for plants,rocks etc. I just can't I get bored in less than 5 minutes same for crafting.

Always struggled with money in FF14 when I didnt bother with them, now I am swimming in Gil, even bought my own middle-sized house just because I could gather and craft the newest stuff on patchday, its such a money making machine

I just got over 1M for the first time, not because of crafting, but because I got super lucky from map runs lol. We got to the end of the doors in the lvl 80 treasure dungeons, and we hit gambler’s lure twice

I enjoy manually crafting . I asked my fc friend a question about some skills as he has all crafters at 80 and didnt know how the skill works said he just crafts with macros. I thought that was really sad.

if you have no interest in playing the marketboard, leveling crafters to 10 levels below max will let you repair your gear for max level jobs which is all I do considering I have a medium plot already and dont have the patience to do the last few levels probably until Endwalker so I can repair my own gear again

I've been playing on and off since 1.0 and have spend 0 Gil on the Market board thus have had no reason to make Gil. My character is also homeless and looks like it though so I'm hardly an example to follow. I really should craft.

Tons of gil? meanwile me, omnicrafter just new and with i490 gear just with 2 materia each piece, put something to sell, check 5 min after and the price as already been cut 30 times and sitting with only 70k gil XD.

Are there still benefits for Crafters if you don't count housing items and Gil? Cause Trial version don't have housing while Gil is only limited to 300,000 sadly and can't use the Marketboard either. Sure there's food, potions, minions, and mounts you can craft I heard, but not all crafters have them since some are just Armor focus, right? Lol XD

I'm a Lvl 51Miner, lvl50 Botanist, and Lvl38 Culinarian. I noticed that my cooking didn't get easier until I got miner n botany pass lvl 40. My question is... Should I take on crafting now?? I'm actually afraid to. Now even though I'm new, but not new to FF 05-06, I didn't want to overwhelmed myself so I took on what I was comfortable with from my W. O. W. days from 2008 to 2015. I'm only lvl51 with my Monk, I stick to tha main story with just a couple side jobs I do so I won't be all over tha place. I find myself rotating from doing that, to mining, then I'll do some botany, then some cooking, not in those others all tha time, it seems eems to work for me so far. My advice to new players... BE PATIENT and take your time frfr. Sorry for tha long comment 🙄

But a question on High Quality gear, should I wait 4-7 levels before switching the respected gear out? Reason: cause I got a full set of the infantry gear for DoW/DoM and I'm not sure if I should wait till level 35 or 40.

The ease of leveling up crafters has just made it really bad for actually making money from selling gear. I've actually moved on to making and selling the stuff you trade in for levequest rewards and they sell pretty well.

Lol the only crafter I bothered to level is weaver and it been sitting at lvl78 or like a year. I think ill get it to 80 today cause I'm tired of being poor in this game 😭

Update: I got weaver to 80. Bad news is I spent all my gil on lvl 80 gear and mats so now I only have 34,000 fuc 😭

I guess it's just as I thought,a means to an end that is one of the main points of getting things due to the whole dumb "random 1% drop chance to get something better" not dominating how items work.

My biggest issue with crafting is that u need the elemental crystal to craft D: unless u have money to keep a good stock of crystals u have to farm them urself which is boring as fk and as some1 who has to spin every coin to see if i can afford it thats even more "feels bad" D:
