You can go in Beauty industry with both Advertising or Marketing. And the thing is either you are a Marketing major or an Advertising one, you can do both things because coursework is almost same in both.

@@nycto16 can you tell me the difference and the examples I can do in the beauty industry in each of them? (marketing and advertising) I'm actually on my first term of marketing and still have the chance to shift 😩 Thank you!

@@joshuac5074 In Marketing you are responsible about Research and innovate new beauty products, price them, launch them in market and some creativity. In Advertising you are probably doing Media related work.. Organizing events for your company, doing PR things, make Sales Promotions, designing packaging and logos, graphics etc. Managing social media channels, making tv commercial ads for your company, doing digital marketing etc all fall under Advertising. But again, Advertising and Marketing both connected with each other so it's not necessary to do what your major is. An Advertising major can become Marketing Manager and do all that innovation and research thing on the other hand a Marketing major can become Advertising Manager and do promotions and creative media things.. I'm majoring in Advertising but we also study everything related to marketing means i can do marketing jobs after this and if somebody doing marketing he/she can do Advertising jobs in future.

@@nycto16 this is really helpful especially coming from an ad major! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I think this all comes down on how creative i am ( I think I'm not, I can't even do my own makeup look), my situation, and the demand in my country. I also received an advice from someone who works in marketing that our major doesn't really matter in our field so you're right. I just read on the internet that you’ll have to be creative in arts, be good at drawing etc. to be in advertising and I made lots of assumptions. mann I need to ask real people. I will when quarantine ends! thanks again I will take alot of time to think about shifting!

@@joshuac5074 No problem. I have an advice, you are saying you are not good in creativity so i think Marketing major is right for you there is Creativity in it but not much as Advertising has! Good luck to you!

@@nycto16 if I wanted to do the more creative side of advertising would this combo be better: Graphics, media and btec computer science OR graphics, photography and btec ICT

@@haera7142 there's nothing related to computer science or ICT... don't take it. Business, Psychology and Media is perfect combo! If you want to go in creative side in future, still you have to study both creative and business sides of Advertising/Marketing so it will be better to choose Business in A-LEVELS.
