I leave my birds cage open allday!! I love that they fly around the whole day!! They love sitting on my tipped window and never goes out. They love staying with me and sits on my shoulders when i watch a movie or play on the ps4.

I close it when the door is open in the summer or when I am about to eat or when I want to clean up their sh*t everywhere, but mine go automaticly in their cage when flying is boring and ther are tires

Have you tried putting your hand in the cage and pretended to touch something in there, say a toy or food? Your bird will most likely go inside to see what you're doing as if wanting to say "Hey what are you doing with MY PROPERTIES!"

Spike my plum head Parakeet has recently celebrated his 37th Birthday and he is beautiful - he tells us every day : How dare you say that Birds are Not good pets !!! My birb Pinky loves being alone and she loves eating whatever I eat. Except fruits. And I don't mind the Extra Responsibility because I already have children. My Pinky is just having an Extra Baby in the house who I also love with all my heart. ❤ 🐦 ❤

They are all so trueee but..We are used to it like i have a flock at home if i guess 12 budgies(there were 13 but i lost one it was having an eye infection and died in the hospital 😢)

I have 9🤷🏻‍♀️ They aren't tame because most of them came from bad homes.Only one uses my hand as a lift because she can't fly anymore...but the reasons are ALL TRUE!!!😉 Yes, they destroy,poop,are noisy, force rules on you, you live at theirs...and they constantly want something...but on the other hand, they are damn cute and each has a unique character...when you just watch them interact with each other, you'll soon notice, that they behave a bit like toddlers and elders.Just love them🥰but I totally agree, that they aren't good pets for everyone

Scented millet does not sound like a good idea and will likely either be toxic to them or be way to sugary to use as treats. Normal millet works well enough.

My grandma has a cockatiel. It's name is Filichka. It spends in its cage all the time. Sometimes I opened the door of the cage, and Filichka didn't fly out. Filichka eats only sunflower seeds and egg white.

Maybe the Bird can't properly fly anymore 😕 Perhaps you could give it something which it can use to climb out of the Cage. Also that's a absolutely horrible Diet. I bet that Bird is constantly screaming due to high Hormone Levels (unless it's like my male and just rubs all the Time while he's hormonal). Hope, you can do something to improve the Situation. People like that shouldn't be allowed to keep Birds, especially no Parrots ☹️

@@Firestar-TV My grandfather got Filichka out of the cage, but it was afraid of everything. Before my grandma Filichka had several owners including my aunt. At my aunt's it was in the cage all the time. Filichka doesn't wanna be out of the cage and eat something else.

@@Firestar-TV Filichka is afraid of crows and screams when it hears them caw. It's more then 10 years old. It also likes to climb the walls of the cage.

At least this reminds me of a Grey Parrot I saw online that was absolutely afraid of going into the Sunlight after it was attacked by a Hawk or some other large Bird

Be careful. I hope you research before you put a Plant in the Room, because many of them can be dangerous. Usually you can find the Information if your Plant is Bird safe on the Internet though

With budgies only the male's can talk. With training by repeating the same words over and over and over again day and night. Could take weeks even months.

Now you tell me, after 3 budgies and a big cage for 3 years? I have been diagnosed with cancer and have lung surgery scheduled for next month. I won’t be able to care for them anymore and no one wants them. My surgeon told me to pull the cage out of my bedroom because I need 2 months for complete recovery and can not be exposed to pet dander and should have my bath and bedrooms as sanitary as possible. I feel like we are all, up the creek without a paddle 🥹

😕 I hope you can find someone who can take Care of them. Maybe your Family Members can ask their Friends if they can take them, or you could ask in a Bird Forum if someone can take them

@@lyzette102 maybe someone could at least take them for a While, while trying to help to find a new Home for them. Or perhaps someone here in the Comment Section lives nearby and could take them. I wish I could help😔 Another Idea if you should have a Garden, would be to build a Aviary there if it wouldn't be too expensive. Of course they need a warm Place though during the Winter

So people can be aware of the reality of owning a bird. Some people simply can’t handle them. I once heard of a story of how this woman had a budgie and every time it chirp the woman would pull its feathers out!! 😮 Long story short , it ended up in a rescue center but later died. This is why videos like this need to be posted, so people know what they are getting themselves into before buying a bird.
