Paul Sr's business parter sued him alleging Sr used company funds for personal gain, which led to Sr. going bankrupt and having to surrender their building to the bank to avoid foreclosure. Then bankruptcy trustees sued Jr and Sr for alleged improper business transfers that gutted OC Iron Works before it also went belly-up. Jr also sued Sr at one point over Sr. allegedly trying to muscle Jr. out of his 20% stake in the original OCC. These guys are accused of a lot of shady business deals in addition to supposed quality issues on their builds.

Those were supposed to be six figure bikes back when the show aired, but I’ve heard of at least one being sold for $14,000. Reality TV didn’t do the motorcycling world any favors by creating the trend towards these big, long, poor handling, and poorly manufactured bikes.
@brandonfrancey5592
@brandonfrancey5592 Ай бұрын
The 6 figures was an advertising cost. They may have spent 100k on a bike, but most of that was to be featured on an episode. Having the main characters on a super popular show mention your company name in connection to a bike continuously over the course of an hour? 100k is cheap. An ad spot for 30 seconds during an episode of OCC probably cost more.

I always loved both Indian Larry’s old school bikes and Exile / Russell’s cool machines 👍🏻 as well he always built some of my favourite bikes that ever appeared on tv 📺. He definitely had some really cool unique ideas with customization that I have never seen before he did it then it seemed years later or even sooner many other’s ripped off his cool ideas here and there. I also liked Martin bros builds. And just Joe himself as a cool mellow person. He also had some really cool ideas and is a great fabricator as well. To be fair to OCC I did like some of Paul Jr’s ideas and his overall personality is cool and friendly but couldn’t stand Paul Senior one bit ! The constant drama with him was just way to much all the time, over nothing he treats his own son like a piece of crap 💩. I would have quit working for him in about 30 seconds on the first day. I don’t even know how his other employees ever put up with Paul Senior’s B. I liked the show because it was bikes but these aren't proper custom bikes they're theme bikes. If John Deere wanted a bike the bike would have a harvester part cobbled onto it somehow. Hideous pieces of crap with zero creativity

Their bikes were corporate show bikes for advertisement. Another KZfaq channel has the Geigo bike. They can't get the bike to run more than a few seconds if if they can get it started.

Most of these bikes look nice- but they seem to be more display pieces rather than something you'd want to ride on any regular basis. It's like the _Pimp My Ride_ cars ending up neglected, abandoned, or in junkyards...

I will never forget when Sr. and Jr. went up against Jesse James in a Motorcycle build off. Sr. ended up building a snow mobile looking bike. You had to lay down on it to drive it. He ended up coming in last. Jesse James came in first or course.

Their bike were show pieces. Uncomfortable and hard to ride. The biggest mistake they made was building that giant shop. Expanding is the death of many businesses. Not sure what they were thinking, the amount of bike they needed to sell to pay for it, wasn’t really possible.

They were not meant to be daily ridden or even ridden at all, they were like advertising for each company or thing they donated too. They eventually made some street bikes after people requested them. Its not in defense on the Tuttles, just saying at least report on them correctly.
