Why it's OK for everyone at a table to play the same class together ("oops all bards"). I love a party of all Clerics, or all Druids, or all Rogues.

How about a Pangolin-folk class? I tried making a homebrew race for them once And a Giant Pangolin-folk Paladin could be really cool

So, one of the most under utilized spell is catapult, criminally so. I think the rouge ambusher would be a cool idea. Rock bending would be a cool implementation, especially since the under dark has effected deep elves less than the other races

A Deep Gnome Rogue with The Svirfneblin Magic Feat is pretty much untouchable. It's one of the greatest hacks of all time in the game of D&D. No need for a subclass or multiclass. Just the usual weapons (daggers, darts, a slingshot... and maybe a blowgun). Perfect for the infamous Sneak Attack that the Rogue is known for. Male or Female, it doesn't matter because they make one of the absolute best espionage agents (spy/scout) which can gather huge amounts of intel for your party. And especially if a Deep Gnome ventures out at night they're safe. The word Stealth is an understatement.

I'm making a deep gnome from monsters of the multiverse who is a Dao genie warlock with a Pact of the chain familiar with Actor. Stone skills, good at infiltration and non detection, imp is the best scout in the game (invis, flying, stealthy, shapeshift into spider or raven or rat).

This information is out of date. Deep gnomes can't cast blindness deafness anymore and the dark vision is just plain dark vision but goes out to 120 feet.

I played a Deep Gnome once. He was a Thief rogue whpse entire personality was being an asshole. Such an asshole, he was disinherited from his clan and unified the Underdark in peace, if only just long enough to univerally ban him to the surface. Would've been fun, if the rest of the party wasn't edgelord self-inserts with an overly cliche bard. Several of them were writers too, and not a one knew how to write an interesting character.

@@Rookzer0 Amature writer (I think, are you still ameteur if it's published but minor.) But the DM was kind of the problem. It was among friends, me my two sisters and my brotherinlaw was the DM. A lazy DM who would put the games off for weeks because he "wasn't feeling like it". Eventually weekly games petered off untill the pandemic hit, and I'm sad ti say that was my first and only experience with DnD. Even still, Grumplephart has a special place in my heart.
