hey I may be incorrect about this, but on the merchant factions side, the items drop with no faction tag, it is only tagged when traded either PTP or at the bazzar, as once an item is taged it is no longer tradable

I've managed to farm up about 85 tabs so far btw. Been playing for years (on and off) tbf but you'll have, easily, 10 tabs over a day or 2

the stash is really well done. Infinite categories for free, color coding, movable tabs, filters and search functions, everything you could want.

You can have so many stash tabs that I don't think space will ever be a problem if you just play in Cycles.

Yeah it works great. No stash problems and a Great search function. I actually just load stash with a bunch of random stuff and garbage and just search for it. Its not a problem.

To be fair that design choice is a holdout from D3 which only happened because the player base complained so much about getting gear for other classes in that game (it’s also why both drop gear with attributes similar to what your character needs). People got really sick of getting wands with dex or str. D4 could probably get away with changing it back but D3 was way too focused on sets at end game.

@@bloomleaf8310 D3 was just a very mediocre ARPG altogether... I did play it because I played couch co-op with my sister but it was just too stupidly easy, the builds were too limited and all in all we got to Torment 16-17 without even having much depth of knowledge of the game... plus if you made one character of each class you had seen everything the game could offer you... was just a super half-assed effort of an ARPG... D4 is massively better but still pretty lazy... Last Epoch after playing D4 and having played and rejected PoE is the only ARPG that actually UNDERSTANDS the genre and actually understands what good and engaging gameplay is in an ARPG...

@@sportschool3537 D4 definitely changed a lot for the better in regards to builds, which is why i think it could go back to dropping gear for other classes, since the gear would be worth getting. You should check out Grim Dawn, i know people like to praise the crap out of Poe but for my money GD is one of the best ARPG's on the market.

I'd like to second this as well. As a recovering POE player I hated getting one-shot by mechanics that I didn't understand, but LE telegraphs that something is about to happen REALLY WELL. Every time I die to a boss I have a pretty good idea what I did wrong and can adjust later. Losing because I am a bad player is fine, losing because something happened I never saw coming is frustrating.

Last Epoch is already more repayable than D4 to me. You replay the campaign and its still pretty fun to me. Endgame doesn't have much variety but just because its a better game, it is more fun for me. I started D4 Season 3 played for a couple hours and.... I just can't. What the hell? Season 2 was actually pretty good the new season just seems awful.

@@TheJols I downloaded the game I think about a week ago... been playing a melee rogue with a full bleed and leach/heal build (based on whatever made sense to me, didn't look it up) and the game is really really good... I could make easily 3-4 different builds with the EXACT SAME SKILLS which is why this game is endlessly replayable... I haven't tried much yet because I'm waiting for the launch but I got my Rogue to lvl 53-54 by now (Softcore, don't enjoy hardcore personally, find it too tedious to start over if I die, especially on a super delicate class like the Rogue) and the build is working decently well and is a lot of fun especially for something I put together myself and is certainly not some meta build (looking at you PoE... the most meta-slave ARPG on the market) Last Epoch gives you freedom man... which is something I haven't had in a long time in an ARPG... just try out all kinds of different builds with whatever you think works well together From the little I've seen I think most builds that are decently well thought of in terms of your skills cooperating decently well with each other are pretty much end-game viable and you will not hit a hard wall and feel like you wasted a fuckton of time Also I would not recommend hardcore in this game... the game is decently easy but I've experienced some very very random one-shots and not by bosses... maybe my build is still too squishy but it still felt weird that sometimes my life ended in an instant without a boss in front of me so I think Hardcore could become extremely frustrating unless you have some godly leveling gear .

@@spookzer16 Also, the fact that if your build is not completely random bullshit and you are going for something decently focused it actually WORKS... I downloaded the game only a week ago and made a melee rogue cause you know... just fuck it... rogues are cool in most games and I put together a bleed/leech/healing build that came straight out of my ass without any guide or anything while upgrading the skills I thought would make sense together... I'm only level 54 so not at endgame yet but it's so satisfying that it actually works insanely better than something I would pull out of my ass in PoE... Also PoE's skill tree is the most overrated bullshit tree in the world... 95% of the nodes are just passive buffs that don't change anything in your game... Last Epoch's skill tree as you said has so much variety... for example the Rogue has a smoke field... I use it for leeching and healing and getting shroud buffs for more evasion... but you can actually set it on fucking fire in a fire build... or make it slow enemies... as you said the builds are endless even with the same exact skills... As someone that tried PoE and rejected it with a passion because it's not fun and it's complicated for the sake of complication and not for the sake of better gameplay, I think Last Epoch is the perfect ARPG for me... also I hate using guides and PoE "you must use a guide or you'll waste your time"... fuck that... I want my own fucking build... not someone else's... also in PoE in most builds you end up using only one skill all the time and everything else is done passively by support gems... in Last Epoch you actually need to use all your skills yourself which makes the game MORE ENGAGING... and the damaging skills actually can cooperate together... for example I'm using one skill to build up stacks of bleed and do the majority of my damage and then another to eat up those bleed stacks, do a massive big damage at once and heal myself at the same time... in PoE there's no such collaboration... Anyway, I've had more fun in Last Epoch this week than in a year in any other ARPG... love this game...

Dude, this game will EXPLODE next month when it releases... the gameplay is a MASSIVE upgrade from both D4 cause it's not lazy and cookie cutter and PoE because it's not throwing overcomplicated bullshit skill trees full of uninteresting passive buff nodes that do nothing to upgrade the gameplay.... also in Last Epoch the skills truly collaborate with each other and you can end up with 3 different damaging skills that truly compliment each other unlike PoE that you build around one single skill... that, along with the things they've promised for release (trading and self found factions plus the release content) will make this game totally explode... I've played for a week, I made a Rogue bleed/leech/healing build purely through my common logic and without overthinking it and it's so satisfying that when you think something would work well in your build by common logic it actually does work well... I fucking love this game because it actually ticks all the boxes in terms of fixing bullshit that make PoE unbearable... and well D4 is not really a great game to begin with, so I do own it but don't play it much if at all and would never pick it over Last Epoch since it's super lazy and cookie cutter...

Absolutely! Being able to take build-defining unique mods and add rare mods to them is fantastic for really powering up your end-game builds and customising your items to your needs. It adds a great and very personal chase, too - you need to get the unique item with LP, you need to get the exalted item you want to slam into it, you need to close your eyes and slam them together, and if it works you get the item that's perfect for your build (and potentially worthless to anyone else), and if it doesn't then the chase continues. It's a much more engaging way to do chase items than "here's the best item in the game, it's generically very strong in any build, but you'll never have it drop yourself and the only way to get it is to save up currency until you can afford to buy it from someone else". Last Epoch does have one or two items that could be in that category (or rather, that WILL be in that category when trading is introduced) but, for the most part, chase items are items that are very specific to your build that you personally want to chase for, rather than just generically strong items.

I hate minion builds so I never used one in either D4 or Last Epoch... what do you mean by functioning though? From what I've seen minions do their job in D4 Whenever I play a necro class I just make a blood mage which is more fun for me, but to each their own of course

I really enjoy the playstyle of making minions by hitting things. I love Dominating Blow in PoE.

Mike, the developer who does the live streams for the game, almost always plays a Forge Guard on his streams. This makes me hopeful that they are at the very least in tune with how it feels and what should be changed.

@sillakilla8674 Honestly, POE has much more content as it is an older game. Multi-player is fairly new so I'm unsure how it will turn out. Last Epoch is not better than POE, but it is 1000x worth the cost, and you should get plenty of hours in.

​​@@willaf3in certain aspects poe is better in my opinion. In others i believe last epoch is in favor. I prefer the talent and skill system in last epoch. The best thing for me are that i actually watch rare drops (filtered) because of the exalted system. In Poe 99% of the non influenced rare drops. are not worth looking at.. Also telegraphs of enemies skills in LE are way better imo

@@sillakilla8674 PoE is the king of endgame among all ARPGs but LE does have a solid foundation for endgame, it just needs to flesh it out more. Essentially think of a mixture of PoE's maps, delve and old synthesis memories all rolled into one system, and that's LE's main endgame system (monoliths). Currently the only difficult boss would be T4 Julra (the snake boss at the end of the time travel dungeon) though even she can be trivialised with how much damage some builds can dish out, but EHG has said that they do want to add pinnacle bosses akin to PoE's after release.
