If you have a plan... You study, you practice, use technical analysis, fundamental analysis, understand chart patterns, candlestick patterns and have a good strategy and you know your edge in the markets then it is not gambling. Though they are similar it is not a gamble if you know what you're doing and it has been proven time and time again. Fortunately for someone like you we always need average people with average jobs! 95% of traders lose cause they ride the rockets too long. You didn’t make any money unless you sell. I recently bought carnival shares at 11.32 sold and 11.94 and watched it go to 12.34/share after the sale. Gains are gains and you just gotta sell sometimes
@MoneyballAustin7 ай бұрын
When people reach out to me and I inquire about how they blew their trading account it's usually because of poor risk management. Whether that's not using a SL or too much leverage. It's extremely difficult to blow your account with a proper 1-3% risk and a proper SL. You would need to lose 80% of trades and slowly grind the account down.

Great point Austin. I always dive into new things, and even if I move on (better than seeing it as quitting), I leave with a pool of knowledge and world perspective I didn't have before. You're spot on with learning about how money actually moves in the world. I recommend anyone to attempt to trade for a time, at least with paper money and to not rely on it as their sole income. It is not for everybody and most will move on with other things and ditch trading. Some will see the potential and stick to it. The question these people should ask themselves is what state of mind are they in when they are trading? Are they greedy, anxious, and impatient? Or are they calm, calculated, adaptive, and far-sighted? Trading is a skill like any other, the beginning will be tough. You will have to learn what to do and what NOT to do. You will get burned many times, but learning why you got burned is the key to become an absolute trading machine. Be resilient and be collected.

I’ve finally got disciplined (which takes practice) and have become consistently profitable these past few months. But anyway I recently bought the house we were renting and I can tell you, I knew as much n more than the realtor and loan officer about the rates and movement of the rates and market. 💫 Success in trading isn’t about intelligence; it’s about mastering yourself and your emotions. 💫 I often find it baffling how people expect to master trading without prior experience. Like ANY other profession, you can’t just walk in and excel from day one. It takes dedication, study, practice, and accepting mistakes. Frankly, expecting profitability within six months or even a year is unrealistic. It’s essential to start small, protect your capital, and focus, self-control and discipline. Anyone with a normal IQ can eventually learn the trade, but the winners will be the one who mastered self-control.

As most people do lose money in trading I believe the reason why they lose money is because they quit. There's a lot of people that become profitable after 5, 6 or 7 years.

Most fail to me because they focus on day trading when they should be swing trading. Swing trading allows for better results but less gains. I think most want the home runs instead of taking the bunts.

i lost 6000 in two days its my biggest lost ever , but the think is... i started with my 1130 usd. its need constancy and involvement... give up on your comfort zone for a while. then u will taste the success.. try paper trading start with 500 usd or 1000, when u make that double, again start from 500 or 1000 its will teach you lots of things.
