Dr. Goldner, I have switched to your HN protocol and am loving it! I am dropping my weight easily and I haven't been this thin in 10 years and it feels so good! And I have more energy, I'm happier, and my body feels great! Thank you so much for what you and your husband do! I will ALWAYS eat high raw! I crave cruiferous veggies!

Thank you for this very special video. I am one of those who would like your Goodbye Autoimmune as an audio book that I can listen to again and again. This video will go in my special collection of your episodes that I need to hear again and again. The most important information in this video for me is your guidance about addictions and self sabotage. I am prone to craving a form of comfort food when I am feeling overwhelmed and or sad. I now know I need to make a plan for those times. It happens most often in the afternoon/evening. I am loving my weight training and other exercises, so I hope to create a couple of routines or self care ideas to help me through. I am fortunate to have had an appointment with you, and I am attempting to slowly move towards incorporating your suggestions. It’s often 1 step forward two steps back, or 2 steps forward and one back. This happens with both my training and diet. But I AM making progress 🤗. I am not discouraged, I just try to learn from my issues and try another method. I am celebrating my progress, I have found a smoothie that I love, I am doing weights, taking chair yoga and a balance classes. I have visible muscles forming 🤗yea! Still trying to find ways to stay raw and cruciferous without having so much gas and discomfort. Using spinach and flax/chia seed oils have really helped. I use Daikon radish with my avocado dip, and trying to find a level of kale and red cabbage that I can tolerate. Your Wednesday Q&A’s and informative videos have been such a big help. I learn so much from each. Blessings, love and hugs. And of course wishing you and your family continued excellent health!

I have read that when we’re stressed our body does require more nutrients. I feel like that’s worth recognizing. We may need to eat more healthy foods during this time. Also, women’s needs are different as well. I’m certain that when our body is preparing for menstruation and during that week as well, our body may need more energy/nutrients to complete this process. I’ve noticed I have to give myself more flexibility to consume more nutrients around this time.

These suggestions are excellent! I never thought of it as addiction. I’m strictly on a plant based diet, and I noticed if I don’t have a meal ready in the refrigerator, I fall off the plan. So, I make sure I have a fall back plan. I do need help with getting daily exercise.

This is wonderful. I just started sharing videos on my KZfaq channel how our family of 4 has been able to eat a WFPB diet for the past 14 years. Dr. Goldner’s advice about not defending our eating habits, but setting up a strong boundary instead is SPOT ON! I learned that early on and I teach my kids to do the same.

Oh my gosh, THANK YOU!! It is so freaking hard to get off the stuff! I heard the term Frankenfoods once and it came to mind during this video. “Drug-like foods” is exactly right. And the part about addressing the rudeness of people commenting on your eating hadn’t even occurred to me! No one would think it appropriate to comment on a fat person’s choices - so why attack the skinny one?? You’re a lifesaver, both figuratively and literally. ❤

What salad dressing do you recommend for the daily salads? Thanks so much! 💕 Cathy

I'm fortunate that I don't get any push back from friends or family. My problem is that since I switched to a plant based diet, I am hungry every 3 hours. I could be experiencing food addiction, not sure, but I'm genuinely hungry. A lot. So much so, that I asked my doctor about appetite suppressants. I've been adding Tofu to my meals and its helping. But I am actually becoming depressed on this diet. I'm pressing on, praying for stanama and healing.

Dr. Wahls admits that she has never tried giving up meat to see if she can get better results. Her program has a lot of good components like lots of veggies and self care. That helps many. If she excluded the meat, I think the results would be even more profound.

A few years ago I was trying to decide between Dr Wahl's plan and Dr Roy Swank's diet for M.S. patients (Dr Swank was a mentor to Dr McDougall). I heard Dr Wahls had good results but I ultimately decided on Dr Swank's plan because he had more years to follow his patients and see them doing well. I'm not familiar with Dr Goldner's work but keep hearing good things so I'll look into it. I have M.E. not M.S. but the key thing for managing my symptoms seems to be eating low fat.
