Realized my oil was extremely low. I put in the required amount of oil. Stared the Vehicle and I got a heavy Vibration rambling. I pull into the Auto Zone got a Check from one of the Representatives. Report stated the Knock Sensor was bad. I started driving home. I was literally Crawling down the Road. Oh Man I know I annoyed lots of people While trying to get home. Anyway I made it home. I have a code P2122. I took off the APPS(with the accelerator pedal)and unplugged the connector. I tested the terminals and of the two wires that bring in 5 volts from the car side connector, only one is providing sufficient voltage. Don’t see bad wire issue but still could be the case. Maybe computer is purposely not sending voltage due to other issue. Car accelerates good until you need to quickly accelerate like when on the on-ramp entering an expressway. Then it won’t give acceleration needed. Computer seems to be handling all other functions just fine. This problem is not the sensor on the pedal (APPS).

if you have no check engine light and it still lack of firing and grab clear jar and pull fuel line from tank to filter and pour in jar and leave it few hours and come back and check it if you see clear under yellow and yellow above clear it mean you got water in tank it time drop tank and replace fuel but you cant get hose in gas nozzle because 1990 above have trapper on tank between hose and fuel tank basics is check oils make sure have enough oils in pan alot time no oils it burn engine out cause it misfire and blowby (alot of air coming out of valve cover) and transmission fluid good and check air filter make sure not clogged or dirty and check for hose air leaks ( sound like hissss when rev engine up ) if no noise them move on to fuel filter and check fuel and if no water clear colors them replace filter if still misfire no check engine light them take flat belt off and check for any worn or stuck drive belt pulley like alternaro or water pump or ac or else on engine if no them pull vent hose off intake go to valve cover and start up engine if you you feel alot of air blowout not suck back in them issues with piston ring shot or wall just save yourself a headache i been working ton of car n truck and i get called almost every day about car or truck ( if you own gm truck like chevy or gmc them you have bad cam and bad push rod roller because GM refuse recalls)

I own a 2018 Honda Pilot EX-L bought it in 2021. Earlier this year while I was driving it couldn't catch speed while my foot was on the gas pedal the RPM's would go up almost oast 4 and then it felt like someone hit me from the behind. Took it to auto zone, my mechanic and even a Honda dealership but none of them found any codes nor would any check engine lights pop up on my dash. Honda performed a flush and I haven't felt anything was off but it's still difficult to catch speed. There is a fuel pump recall but Honda performed diagnostics and they said there was no problem. I don't know what to do as I have no experience with cars except for all the basic knowledge an auto owner should know. I'm also good with oil changes and and all liquid checks. I live in Southern California so no crazy weather to factor into all that.

I only drove my truck about 2 a month for small errands and it sat for about 5 months in the sun, i live in south west Florida. Can the gasoline from sitting for so long make it shake like if its wanting to shut of and also no acceleration past 15 mph

2008 Sonata. Engine not running well. Have to sometimes start it a couple of times before it will run. When running I have to feather the gas pedal when coming from a full stop or when going very slow in order to keep the engine running. After it picks up speed the engine will accelerate fine but it feels like a cylinder may be misfiring every so often. Any idea what's causing this?

Here's a question You said about the slipping transmission. But what about having those symptoms of it slipping exactly as you said but it's not actually slipping. I ask because I have this problem and I changed the transmission but it didn't cure it.

I was loosing acceleration and notice fluid splashing from front of my chargers hood and after safely parking i notice fluid spill on the radiator and ac condenser area was purple in color and i believe is transmission fluid.

I have Vento TSI with DSG Gear box. One day, the entire tire got submerged in flood water while it was parked in the parking lot. Due to this the gear lever was not moving from parking. P was flashing in the dashboard. I saw a video on you tube in which it was told that after locking the door of the car from inside, turning on the ignition, pressing the gas pedal for 30 seconds and then starting the gear box gets reset, do the whole process as told. Gave. After starting, the gears did not shift properly but there was a rattling sound and the engine noise started getting louder. R.P.M. They last longer and also have a slight vibration. Please tell what should be done to normalize RPM? Why has the engine started making more noise? After submerging in flood water and before the above process, the RPM and sound of the engine was like a brand new car. Please help me.

2011 Nissan Quest. 116,000 miles. Getting intermittent dash light that says "Brake" and shows a battery symbol. Battery is new. Alternator and wiring checked by a shop and i was told they are fine. Can drive the van a couple miles or many miles with no issue until, seemingly randomly, I'll try to accelerate from a stop and I'll get no power. No revving sound. No RPMs. Once in park however, it will rev and show RPMs. If I shut the vehicle off it won't restart until I let it sit quite a while and then it can be turned back on. Radiator and thermostat replaced 2 weeks ago due to shop claiming this issue was caused by a leak and overheating yet the issue is still present and same as it was prior to the repair. Checked the air filter which looks good. Also checked transmission fluid which looks good. I'd appreciate any other advice you may have to save me another huge repair bill or having to get rid of the vehicle.

Hi, my throttle is behaving weird in a way that maybe you know the answer to. If I press the pedal from 0% to 100% it's not reacting to the equal amount. Sometimes if a press the throttle 80% to the floor it's reacting like I've only pressed 20% and vice versa. And sometimes I can accelerate up to 60mph and then the car is unable to accelerate further. It stops a for instance at 60mph then slowly loose speed down to 50mph even though I'm giving it 100% gas. First the Error Code showed that there was a problem with the Lambda Sensor but the problem persists even though it's been replaced. no other error codes shown. Any thoughts?

What about when you hit the gas, no acceleration for a few seconds, then a gradual increase in speed. BUT, can reset by turning the engine off then on again. Happens again later in drive. This only happens in weather 50 degrees or greater. Never get codes either.

My 09 Matrix (220,000) sometimes runs great, I'll stop and then restart it, and it runs horrible. It throws a multiple misfire codes in cylinders 1 and 2. Clear codes restart, and it runs great, revs to 6000 RPM, starts right up, for A few rides then it happens again.

Not always true dude whatever the computer says can sometimes be a closer step to knowing what could be the issue to cause that code like for instance, my 2005 Nissan Titan has no response at all. I lost it when I was doing a race. It set off a code saying throttle pedal accelerator position sensor. The other code was throttle body sensor and mines electronically controlled so I replaced both of what it said codes are still there replace the fuel pump issue solved. All codes went away had response again but it started right up and ran great just weak fuel pump. They don’t just go bad and not work at all. They become weak they think because it starts to run that is not the problem not always true same with the computer whatever the computer says can sometimes be explain towards what those two codes can be connected to.

Yo BudgetMechnanic, i got a Volkswagen and 10 minutes its running good. After them 10 minutes the rpm starts to go down quick. Took off the high pressure fuel pump and the cam follower got broken, i replaced it and it still doing the same problem. changed the fuel pump too but still🤣🤣🤣...anyone can help?
