Subtitles isn’t a thing that you need especially because they take away from a lot of videos, putting subtitles should only be a cherry on top because if you don’t have a good foundation, subtitles are useless. A lot of these videos miss one big thing about making a good application which is crafting a perfect script to that particular smp. The script should show many things such as your personality, and what’s unique about you. There’s way more than just what I said but I’m not exposing all my knowledge on a KZfaq comment.

these are all good tips but editing can only help u at a point. more importantly are things like ur personality, tone, voice, being different, quality etc

All solid tips. Though I will say that subtitles do not have as much as an impact as you imply. While, yes, it is important to some server owners; the majority honestly doesn't care either way. The two biggest SMP's on the platform right now: Hermitcraft and Empires do not have a single creator that uses them. Now, I understand that the type of servers you're referencing here are a different style from the aforementioned, but even when looking at ones of similar style it is only a few creators here and there that have them in their videos.

I got in so many good SMPs because of one thing.. I'm funny. My editing is bad, I'm bad at building, I'm bad at PvP and I'm basically trash in Minecraft, but I joined 99% of the SMPs I applied to, another thing is BE ORIGINAL, these subtitle things are getting unoriginal that u might be rejected many times.

You've gotta download ffmpeg. I don't know exactly how to explain it, but I would recommend using replay on lunar client because it's a lot easier and you don't need to download anything.
