Stories are powerful and transformative, and every one of us carries them inside of us to tell. Understand the importance of stories and how they can create change, personally and in the interconnected environments we are a part of. April Kuramoto is a storylistener, speaker and activist who encourages using your voice to share what matters. How do we live into our shared responsibility to create change? April works as a writer and storylistener, who previously served many families as a birth doula. With a Master’s Degree in Environmental Education, she loves nature and the stories held in places. Her research focus was an ecofeminist and decolonizing approach to gathering women’s lived experiences of relationship with the land and the transformative power in kinship. April’s interests include: culture, ceremony, books and plants. A mother and activist, she is passionate about holding equitable circular space for emergent conversations through a restorative (justice) praxis. An award winning speaker, instructor and facilitator April has built a life and career out of her love for tea and conversations.
