Remember Gumball's bloodline. A father gets a job literally breaks the the whole creation and a mother if she follows her career she's a unstoppable tyrant. Still both Nicole and Richard is still many powers in their own sleave which they chose to held themself back. So they're using it whenever means necessary, or out of the blue the powers they had just come out, and that's just that.
