A gem of the state of Wisconsin is the State Park system. There are lands all around the state set aside for everyone to enjoy and keep a little "wild" These parks show off the natural wonder of the local area, and help educate people of the history surrounding the area as well.
This episode features my "home base" of the Wisconsin State Park system, Potawatomi State Park near Sturgeon Bay in Door County. This is the state park I grew up with and holds a very dear place in my heart. This park features the Niagara Escarpment, which provides the rocky cliffs the park.
While not the biggest state park, Potawatomi has a lot to offer by hiking trails, biking trails, water access, camping, and relaxing. A visit to Door County is only more complete for me with a visit to this park.
