I've always liked that city. We have been passing through there on the way to Colorado from Dallas for the past 45 years, every summer and fall. We always stop in Wichita Falls and go downtown, get some lunch, take a break, then get back on the road. Even today, Wichita Falls still looks and feels like an older west Texas town, which is really great, and the people are very nice there because they're true Texans!

Hi! Again thank you for these ride alongs! So looking forward to our move to Wichita Falls in June. You did not mention the red taco Mexican place. I enjoyed this place when I came to visit last August. Looking forward to seeing the farmers market. Keep this videos coming! 😊

Question: How is Wichita Falls at supporting its local businesses and entertainment? Growing up in El Paso, the people would scream for things, and someone would take a chance and open it up and then the populous would be offended that they would charge for said want and it would not make any money and close down.

I think that really depends on what it is. They are super supportive of some things and not of others. There is a component that is price conscious as we do have a low cost of living and income for many people. I have seen so many business thrive because they listened to what the community wanted AND did some research. Not everybody is open to everything. That's truly what business is about.

Winters there are cold and windy, but sometimes dry and warm, depends on if a cold front has come through.
