I hate how Nessa is just SO HAPPY with Boq when he doesn't actually loves her. And it really breaks my heart to see him saying/singing that Nessa is so beautiful, because that makes her fall in love with him even more. Nessa probably doesn't think of herself like that (as we see when she assumes he called her out out of pity for her condition, showing that she probably has low self-steem and thinks of herself as someone who would just be called out if someone felt sorry for her). And, oh, the way we can clearly see when her surprise becomes happiness on the moment he takes her to dance (at 8:30). It feels to me, while i watch it, that this moment is a dream coming true. And it only makes this moment more sad, because you know that in the end, they will break each other's heart

tjopj Truly it's not horrible it's supposed to be the first time she has been asked on a date I think about every girl would be about almost ten times more excited if they were crippled and feeling useless (based on the books). But for the first time she actually has a chance to not feel useless she will always love him even if he will not love her.

In the Grimerie, the behind the scenes book, it says that the Nessa/Boq storyline is the most tragic cause Boq goes from having the biggest heart in Oz to having no heart at all.

This is a fabulous number, which takes you through several stories and then links them. The "dancing" is weird and oz-like. Such imaginative choreography. The entire number is a winner, keeps your attention and keeps switching characters who each carry the plot forward.

I don't have enough words for how fantastic the whole cast was when I saw this show. The acting, the way the lines/moments were delivered (from comical to emotional), it was so good! I couldn't believe they could win equally my love for Idina and Kristin!

Nessa’s has the beautiful voice I have ever heard out of all the Nessas in the play (my opinion). Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE all of the casts. But this Nessa has a beautiful voice

Pro tip: accept comments, LOOK FOR the bad ones, and learn from them instead of trying to defend what cant be defended. 1. This guy was terrible to listen. 2. Acting and self-thinking is egoist af. Acting you are performing FOR people who paid for this, they deserve a good performance. 3. I wont say he's bad, one song is not enough, but its enough to say he has been bad in this song. 4. Your tip is worse than his performance.

Many here in the US wish that the Aussie productions, and others would use their native accents...not that they sound bad doing a US accent. But let them be themselves for cripes sake.

Well it's called acting and that is part of any production. In many musicals Australians do use their native accent if it is part of the character.

You could see how unstable Nessa was... She was about to snap because she hates people too pity her and she was going to snap till Boq said she was so beautiful- But she hates to be so pitied and looked at like she different from everyone else. And I don't blame her. A lot of people who are in her shoes don't like to be treated so differently. She is smart, Caring, and as Glinda said, 'Beautiful'. The only thing different is she can't walk.

The pace of this show is faster than the original, sort of like they are in a big hurry to get done. I do like the way they move people in and out of the scenes, tho'. Shows that the director put some thought into the movements.

Yep, agree like I saw west side story they did good accents there, they had to do America because that’s where the stories set the accents were better there but it is better when they use their normal accents like when I saw Muriel’s wedding which is an Australian musical it actually sounded better. Oz doesn’t have country set in so yeah it should just have people using their accents in shows when the location isn’t part of the story. But my sister saw wicked around 14-15 years ago and said it was amazing. (In Australia)

Right, I love wicked so much but I just want to point out how boq is only with nessa because he wants to impress galinda but she doesn’t realise because she is so caught up in her first chance to go and enjoy her life at this party. His comments like ‘your so beautiful’ are mindless and are just said too make it look and sound real and to not disappoint her and make her feel down on herself. Lol I’m so obsessed with musicals. Just saying.
