Our 9th and 10th grade band did a medley of this in concert band when i was in 11th. I was devestated because its ny favorite play. While my band did phantom of the opera and my sophmore friend was sad because thats her fav!

My highschool's upcoming marching show is Wicked, and everyone is pretty pumped. Hopefully all of us can pull it off... We're a relatively small band, but holy lawd, do we sound large.

I just saw Wicked on Broadway with my band for our spring trip...Then to hear the marching band score....I'm just going to like cry of happiness now...then give the score to my director as a "gift".

This was what was recommended for our band to play in 2016 but we chose an Alice in Wonderland theme. Kinda wish we would've done Wicked but Alice went very well.

I played a few of these songs in an orchestra of non-marching instruments: oboes, bassoons, contrabassoons, and English Horns. How fun it is to play these songs!!!

It just depends on the size of your school. Where I'm from people start marching in High School, and they only do concert band in middle school. My roommate started marching in middle school due to the size of their high school.

Yeah, our youngest kids are in 7th grade. If we didn't start letting middle schoolers in, our band would be tiny. We only have a little over a hundred with the guard.

Being from a pretty densely-populated area of city (Phoenix AZ to be precise), I've never heard of or seen anyone ever march middle schoolers. But our band is 160+, so I guess we don't really need it :P

In our band we have as young as 6th graders :) I think it's good to get them started early so they're even better once they get to high school :)

This is my show this year... Huge band... I practice the sets of our show as i listen, for me its like running the show from continuity when others arent there yet... I dont have to wait for them to catch up when i can be ready

I played bass 2 last season and played this song, might I say now that I look back at it it is a really funny show. This coming up season we're playing How to Train Your Dragon and I am now a snare and it is simple now until we re-write it

Aww, I was supposed to sing "For Good" as a duet (with some solos) with another girl in front of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and their parents for graduation from elementary school. I ended up running off the stage crying because I couldn`t find my mom in the crowd, and she`d promised she`d be there (she didn`t get to go to anything because of her job). She finally got to go to a Winter Guard competition for the first time after I`ve been competing three years! Yay Future HeRoS first place!

MegaCardale we generally have our percussion professionally written. because we know or rudimentary stuff so we can play the hard stuff

It’s lacking on percussion because it is based off songs with weak percussion parts.

Of course. The long pause at 1:30 is the 6/4. Our band is only playing measures 1 to 69 but 66 - 69 are arranged to where it sounds like an ending.

We played this it was amazing!! I was honored to play the flute solo in part 3 cause the flute wasnt loud enough and the trumpet sounded better! xD great show!

The beginning is 2 measures of 4/4, then 5/4, then 4/4, then 5/4, and back to 4/4 for almost the entire piece. There is one measure of 6/4 thrown in there too. (This is just for part one, btw)

ily and ur videos i am soo sorry for u but if it makes you feel better my band trip was cancelled solo and ensemble was cancelled i am schooling at home thru video and my private lessons were cancelled and i dont have any lessons online either i dont think my concert is gonna happen either so i get it and i literally love watching ur videos like this it helps me too
