IM SO EXCITED FOR WICKED!! especially no one mourns the wicked🥹🥹the vocals are going to serve ahhhh phenomenal cast as well

A lot of it IS a prequel but you do see a glimpse of The Wizard of Oz storyline in this musical.

The first act is Glinda and Elpheba’s backstory and the second act takes part during the same timeframe as the story from The Wizard of Oz. At least in the Musical. The movie will apparently be split in two parts and include more from the book. I haven’t read the books so interested to see what gets added in. The songs in the musical are incredible and we only got a little taste of it so also looking forward to seeing more of the storyline. If you are interested you should check out some of the songs performed by the original cast Idena Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth. For Good would be a good one that’s relatively spoiler free.

Sam is right it was way to colorful for the dark parts. the dark should be much darker, there should be times or a even-ness, and then bright and cheery. Elphaba (the wicked witch of the West) is dark and this is her story and evolution. It's her prequel.

You guys are fun to watch! If you happen to do anymore music reactions (enjoyed your Taylor Swift reaction) and never heard of the acapella group, Pentatonix, please react to their cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. They are truly amazing because they only sing something if they can do it live. Like the concept of watching the movie trailers. Do you ever go back and watch the actual movie?

I've read the series and seen the play. Wicked is the prequel but there is a tiny (or Should be a tiny) over lap towards the ........

You people are clearly not familiar with the books or the musical or you would get it! Also the book was alot darker than the musical! If the KZfaq reactors are familiar with the material they shouldn’t react to it!

Sam, my friend, Did you happen to see the flying monkeys while watching The Wizard of Oz synced to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon because that is a wild experience too. I am actively avoiding Wicked because seeing Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater together on screen, knowing that they cheated on their spouses together on the set of the musical, totally ruins the alreary inferior, cocaine-induced hyperbolic presentation of a classic story. Hard pass. But that's just my 2 cents.
