It’s a shame that a genie’s powers are weaker once they’re free. I understand why, but they are still magical beings. Plus if Genie was still as powerful in Return Of Jafar, his and Jafar’s fight would be quite a show!

I think he gets his full power back in the tv show. One villain powers up a magic stone by draining the all the power of another genie and whats left of the OG genie. The 2 genies perform a ritual go back a 100% a take the explosion of that stone(which was said to control the cosmos) to their faces like it was a joke. After that episode I dont think he ever says that he powers are semi cosmic again. At least we got a great musical number from that fight. If Genie was at full power,I bet he would win because of his imagination and expirience(barely).

Theory: Jafar’s Final Wish syphoned off a great deal of Genie’s original power, not his freedom. Then when Jafar’s Lamp is finally destroyed (and Jafar along with it), Genie’s Power finally began to gradually return to him All the Wishes were sustained by Genie’s Power, so it was technically still active and sapping Genie right up until Jafar finally died

Either way Jafar would have won sadly. Even if Genie was at his Peak, Jafars wish was a trick, because Aladdin said Genie was more powerful. Jafars wish then made him more powerful then Genie.

@@cherryenthusiast It really is its power it literally can't be good or bad it has no thought or conscience so it can't choose to be either so there for its neutral the individual using it thou they can so they are the bad or good one. It's like that saying power corrupt's it literally can not corrupt you because its power not a living thing you chose to be corrupt or not the power dose not chose for you.

I think that Mawie and Elsa are in the grey area. They may have limited usage for there powers but they are incredibly powerful.

@@joshualowe959 If I’m being honest, despite Yen Sid pretty much being Disney backwards, I still believe he couldn’t undo Maleficents powerful magic, or stop the Titans. He probably could but it’d be tough. As for Chernabog that would also be an interesting case since he’s considered Disney definition of all evil. So by then, Yen Sid and Chernabog are the best match against each other

What’s great about Disney magic is that the magic’s limits or lack thereof is never established or clarified, in any era, sub-franchise, or individual movie. This ambiguousness is effective in audience interpretation of magic’s power level

@@flolikeyou6053 i disagree. since the gods aren't really alive in my opinion. they aren't part of the world they just laze around on Mount Olympus. and the titans are something like forces of nature. probably the fates could kill an individual titan. but it would just cause a new titan to be "born" in some way

Hmmm... I don't know, in late Mythology the Fates are daughters of Zeus, although they used to be daughters of Nyx (primordial god of night). The titans are all sons and daughters of Gea and Uranus (primordial gods), that puts the titans over/ on the same level as the Fates.

Merlin is the most powerful. He can forsee the future and even time travel there. He even warns Arthur. Mind you when that film The Sword in the Stone came out it was just 1960s and even then Merlin was disappointed with that time, stating... "Bermuda? Yes, back from Bermuda and the 20th century. And believe me, you can have it. One big modern mess!" If only he knew it gotten worsen in the 21st century with social media. Even the Horned King wouldn't touch whatever dark necromancy magic keeps TikTok, Snapchat and Tinder alive.

Sorry but Genie ranks above the titans in terms of magicial prowess. They might represent the fundemental forces of nature, but Genie can literally alter the fabric of existence, he could turn the titans into lego or dust. At least at his full power.

Thanks for the neat video! I never noticed that odd detail about the Fairy Godmother. She does offer to return Cinderella and the Prince to their former lives, the clip is even used in the video, so it’s implied she is capable of greater feats. That does create a plot hole for the 1st Cinderella though. Merlin is also implied to have time-travel abilities, and maybe responsible for the Bermuda triangle, he is returning from modern day Bermuda, and he tells Arthur about one of his feature films, at the end.
