Thank you so much!! I NEED MORE 80S. Video on Reb Beach??? Hear me out: Winger catches a lot of hate, I get it. But Reb had some of the BEST riffs of the 80s and 90s. He has a lot of techniques that you could DEFINITELY apply to general lickenings.

Thank you Robert! It's been nearly 30 years since I last since I last uncased any of my guitars due to a cascading myriad of of events, the worst being the shattering of the bones in my left hand due to a job related accident. Recovery has been slow and ongoing, but I've recovered approximately 80% usage of my neck hand. I've been afraid to pick-up a guitar ever since the accident, until I saw this video. I'm at a loss to define exactly what it was about this video that touched me so very deeply, but I think that it was due to your easy-going nature and your infectious ability to make me want to try as best I can. I have since retrieved my guitars, amps, and gear from storage, and I'm painstakingly and methodically bringing them all back to life. With the loss of 20 percent of the dexterity in my left hand, I'll never be the guitarist I had always dreamed of becoming. But thanks to your videos, as well as some others, I feel as if I can make a contribution, even if it's just teaching and encouraging others in this wonderful art of playing these incredible instruments we call guitars. Thanks again for providing the much needed kick to my backside! -E-

Great video! Alex Lifeson has always been criminally underrated in my opinion both as a rhythm and lead guitar player. Spirit of Radio, Freewill, La Villa Strangiato, Limelight, Witch Hunt, the Analog Kid, Afterimage, and the list goes on and on... A video on Alex would be awesome!

Looking into your comments, I noticed that there are a few other teenage metalheads who are into the hair metal. I really enjoy listening to the guitarists, they are so melodic, and most are at a somewhat doable speed, learning some of these riffs has really helped me to progress. Your hair metal mondays give me motivation to learn something new, just in time to start off the week.

Boy, this a trip down memory lane! I jammed to a lot of these tunes in the 80s and worked quite a few of them into our set lists. Warren DeMartini, George Lynch, Vivian Campbell, John Sykes, etc. wrote simple but outstanding riffs and were fun to play. A much underrated guitarist is Wolf Hoffmann of Accept. Matthias Jabs of the Scorpions is another. I have been playing in my church praise team for the past ten years, and I still enjoy sitting down and playing a few metal riffs and licks - it helps me keep my chops and my fingers moving. A lot of good stuff on your channel. God bless you and keep rocking brother.
