New Black Eagles Jazz Band at Mechanics Hall on April 8, 2015. Brown Bag Concerts are produced by WICN and Mechanics Hall. Concerts begin at noon and admission is free.

jelly bean blues made me cry it was so good. just bloody knocked me for six. outstanding depth of emotion and easy to hear the years and years of learning in it.

I play bone. .. . or try to ( I'm really an ENT surgeon) I got play with these guys about 1975. . . WHAT FUN !!

comforting to see a bunch of old guys, like myself, still playing and enjoying playing great music. just loved every note played and every beat laid down. well done indeed. very classy.

Glad to have found this video. Until I left the US in 2012 I never missed seeing them in person in Mt. Gretna, PA.

Do you still go to Mt Gretna? We had a cottage close Playhouse SRO for the New Black Eagles

I haven't been to the Playhouse since 2012 when we moved to Ecuador. I used to date a girl in Mt. Gretna who had a cottage two streets from the Playhouse.@@chasbo60

I was at that festival in Sacramento as a 16-year-old kid playing with a kids band called the Jazz Minors. They revolutionized my thinking about traditional jazz and I have been in love with their sound all of my adult life.

the trumpet player says it's an old tune called Bedelia. Not well known now.
