Julia is such a powerhouse and was able to not just make it her own but also come to a beautiful calm to match the others. They ALL have their own distinct sound and I adore it! ❤️

They are all very talented, but Abi & Julia’s voices are on a whole other level. McKenna’s voice is more unique, but Abi’s angelic power is indescribable. KB is certainly capable of making this a career, but I’m not sure she “stands out” the way the others do.

Having a unique voice definitely help you more in the real world. You basically want a unique voice that is current and that will distinguish you from everyone's else in the music world. I think KB may go on and have the most successful career than everyone's else this season. Just my opinion. Gabby Barrett didn't win American Idol, but is having a successful career.

This was awesome! Abi was crushing it on her parts, McKenna's tone is so gorgeous on the song, loved how Julia sounded on this as well. She did fantastic with her parts and the harmonies, also loved how Kaibrienne sounded here too. She made it her own with her parts. They were all amazing! This was also the best version of this song I have ever heard. Even better than Katy Perry by a lot honestly.

Katy Perry performed the song as an established artist. So she did not perform it like she had something to prove, unlike the four AI contestants who have something to prove. That's the difference.

I haven't watch American Idol for so long, but it feel so refreshing to hear 4 women singing together and embracing their own timbre, each with their own style. The first one is incredible, whilst the second one seems the most interesting. But it's nice to hear and immediatly understand the different voices and being able todistinguish the singers. Back in my day on Idol we would see 5 power houses mimicking the same singer and probably one or two who would do their thing. Nice to see that even the "diva" singers are being able to have their own thing.

The tune Wide Awake was a Katy Perry song that she recorded and it was a special effects music video with the help of these close friend in the recording studio in 2012. Now Abi Carter, Kaibrienne, McKenna Brienholt & Julia Gagnon joined her as they joined in the fun when they look like a girl group up there. It looks like fun but fun singing together takes a long note home and they refer to them as Katy understands them why...details on Katy's Channel and her website as the comment tell Katy why was their favorite song choice? ok so this is getting difficult! hope I got it right, Abi and Kalbrienne have pretty but common vocals. Julia has an AMAZING voice and may win. McKenna... with some vocal training could be the one that actually charts on the radio. She has such a beautiful raspy voice (and range). She's new, she's raw. She needs to know she is the real deal.

I wonder what is the tribute song for this season? For the past seasons when a contestant leave they play a song like "Home" by Chris Daughtry, "Home Sweet Home" by Carrie Underwood or "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter. I'm watching only in KZfaq since Season 16-present now so I don't have any idea.

The best females on this season are Abi and McKenna. Julia is a good singer of songs, but she seems to yell a lot. McKenna has the smoky raspy tone in her voice that not a lot of people have but she’ll probably be eliminated next week because people hate on women like that. Emmy if we’re being honest should have been eliminated weeks ago, but because of who her grandmother is, she’ll probably get to the finale.
