Well quite a night here in Chicagoland. Significant damage trees powerlines down, power outages. Many tornado spinups.. I was in one in Elwood IL. I was in Channahon at the time just west. We have no power since around 9pm . Saw power flashes just before the tornado siruns went off. I'm good here and hopefully doenst get to hot. Not going to open the refrigerator I have to much frozen that could spoil etc. Chain saws going on the distance as I speak. Thankyou Mitch for that guidance yesterday. The tornado watch was issued around 650 pm last light. The data was 5000 j/kg! And later went up to 7000! Crazy!.. God bless you and yours🌎🎛📡🐱🙏 update at 840 am we now have power!😀

We already had tornadic winds (rotation) here north of Syracuse with the last tornado warning. Neighbor lost a HUGE branch from his silver maple; it did a number on his roof. This is WAY weird weather for us; it's normally quite tranquil here. I've never had to hide in the cellar, and I've lived here off and on for fifty years. So I hope no more today.

Oh my gosh i know what you mean. I grew up with 6-10 inches of snow, or 2-4 inches of snow, or 3-6, so on and so forth. I'm with you on that 100 percent. I don't need to know "oh it's 4.21 inches of snow" - I just need a general idea.

Hello everyone! Cloudy, slightly muggy here in NW IN. I’m happy to report Northwest Indiana got lucky for the most part. Some places south of me are without power. There are tree limbs down and some trees too, but other than that, we are fine. Last night was windy, but not like the states to our west. We were under a tornado warning for about 45 minutes and we were downstairs in our safe spot. I haven’t watched the news yet, so I can’t speak on what happened in other areas. Thank you for the prayers and encouraging comments yesterday, they are greatly appreciated. Paying the prayers forward for those in need❤
