During Remco's 50th birthday party, he receives an unfortunate surprise when his former lover shows up pregnant. Meanwhile, he and his current mistress, Merel, keep their affair a secret from his family, especially since she's his daughter's best friend. Unbeknownst to the man, his business partners are scheming behind his back and plan to blackmail and sell him out of the company. In a humorous turn of events, it's up to Merel and Remco's wife, Ineke, to save his company and career.

Very different movie if Merel lied and she was pregnant. Also like how cheaters are so easily forgiven in this film, I hope they keep that same energy with the wife, although I hope the baby is his and she just wanted to disclose that she is sleeping around too.

He offers stability on every front. If he's selling the company for ~12 million Euro(he and his wife get 6 million, so 3 per 25%, so 3x4=12), he's probably pulling in a decent amount of money. That's financial stability. Plus, we never hear complaints about him not having time for his family, so presumably he's still something of a family man, and Ineke only threatens to leave him if he made Nadja pregnant. That's family stability, which contributes significantly to emotional stability. And..... his string of affairs allows her to explore her own affairs, meaning neither of them really suffer from sexual starvation. That's intimacy stability, also contributing to emotional stability. Now, if the hubby freaks out about her having her own affairs, he literally has no ground to stand on. She told him to his face that his ex-girlfriend found out about it. She's clearly been far more discrete about her affairs.
