Last dad tried to act all manly, but the first dad is way more manly. First dad is happy to help his wife and kids, happy to help with chores and cooking as well. I forgot what episode it was, it was the traveling performing family, the daughter on that show took to TikTok to explain her experience on the show. I just wanna say, in Poland there's a really huge difference in mindset of people from somewhere, where as we say in Poland, dogs bark with their asses xD and people from cities like Warsaw, Kraków, Katowice etc. Going to the countryside (the real countryside, not 30km from cities where people live and travel to work in the city) is like a trip back in time to the communist Poland both in quality of life and the mindset and opinions that people have about the world. There's and enormous disparity of income, education, tolerance etc. Most young people escape the countryside as soon as they can, so all that's left is old folk and those that choose that type of life, like my aunt and uncle who worked in big corporations in Warsaw and have had enough, they choose to live in the countryside in peace rather than in the urban rush hour culture.

I saw a lady on Tiktok that had him doing his stuff. Making plans isn't his strong suit so they never make plans with his family because she won't make plans with his family for him and says he doesn't care enough. Then people started shitting on me because my boyfriend and I play to each other's strengths and split the things that are normal jobs or that neither of us particularly want to do often. We switch off on dishes, do our own laundry unless we feel like doing the other's laundry (or if we need something washed and don't have enough to justify doing 1 load). He cleans the bathroom and mows the lawn, I do the handywork and big ticket cleaning. He cleans up cat puke, I clean the litterbox, whoever notices the cat food is low first fills it. We switch off cooking, bills are split in a fair way based on wage (I make less than half of what he does). He hates my family because my step mom was abusive and controlling (he actually got me out of the situation) so he doesn't contact them, but we make plans with each other's families. Spend one holiday with one side another with the other side. I don't clean the toilet or shower, he doesn't touch certain areas of the house. He gets rid of spiders for me (he's a catch and release kinda guy), and I catch and release any mice that get in because both of us feel bad watching our cat toy with it, but we obviously don't want it in the house. Our former roommate was horrified when I scooped a mouse up in my hands and yote it outside into the snow. I'm not pampering or spoiling him by doing things for him and he's not pampering or spoiling me by cleaning the toilet or thing I don't like doing. Couples just need to respect each other and what they can do.

The other one just gets all upset and claims the kitchen as her own, it wouldn't even be that bad if she did it in a respectful way. Some of the couples weren't even married in real life. Some were actors who just wanted to be on tv. They were told to fit pre-determined roles, like the homemaker, or career woman. It wasn't scripted exactly, but it was all set up beforehand. So it was fake anyway you look at it.

This is not alpha behaviour. This is what beta's think being alpha is all about. Actual alpha's in a group dynamic, which could be both male or female technically, are simply the ones who naturally have confidence, are a trusted member of the group and who can basicly control group dynamics without words. It basicly means natural leader and someone that people naturally gravitate to for comfort and group guidence. Most people don't even notice they fulfill an alpha role in a group dynamic. If you ever are in a group and everybody is indecicive of what to do or where to eat or whatever until one person makes a sugestion for then everyone to agree and say, yeah i like that to. Or "yeah let's do that", you found your alpha. Or if you see people pay attention when someone enters the room, and changing the things that are being talked about etc. You also found your alpha. Being an alpha figure is not something you can demand, it is something that others voluntarilly assign to someone mostly. To someone they trust, percieve to be fair, and someone who can keep the peace and with the ability to point the group into a direction that everyone can agree with without drama.

Also just the fact that a LOT of Christian households specifically abide by the belief that children are property and can’t have opinions or bodily autonomy etc and this also means children aren’t allowed boundaries or aren’t able to say “no I don’t want to”. She just grabs that girl, a person she doesn’t even know, this woman is a STRANGER to her and then immediately disrespects her beliefs and disregards her bodily autonomy. It’s not an innocent hug like this woman thinks it is, its a gross violation of boundaries and an abuse of her power for she is an adult who is bigger and stronger than her. Gross. A really, REALLY common example of this is kids being forced, guilted and coerced into hugging and kissing family members when it makes them uncomfortable. And if they voice that discomfort their feelings are immediately invalidated, disregarded and then they’re made to feel guilty for having feelings. “How could you do that? If you don’t give them physical contact that will make them sad. Thats so mean and rude and selfish! Don’t be a brat” Then later on in their adult life things like not being taught what consent is or not being allowed to have consent from an early age can cause really serious and horrific things like domestic abuse or sexual abuse. People not being able to maintain boundaries and say no. It bleeds into so much stuff that can cause irreversible mental and physical trauma and make a person utterly miserable and ruin their entire life. And if you point this out to these people who treat their children like property then they have a spectacular screaming tantrum at being criticised and then continue to treat their children like literal non-human objects. It’s such disgusting behaviour

I mean... that depends on how traditionally you define "traditional". The reason that we send men into the mines and let women stay where it's safe isnt mysoginistic, its biological imperative. Now that a person is so much less likely to die at work, it doesnt really make a difference but the tradition was specifically created to prevent people who can bear children from being crushed or mauled to death. I remember seeing an episode when the show was fairly new: my mom went to college with one of the wives. The woman was portrayed as very high-strung and a meticulous planner (the family had a large scheduled calendar they called "The Brain") and she and her family were crazy strict Christians. The other family was all about fun, chaos , and living in the moment. It was very interesting watching it with my mom because she could tell when there was an honest interaction between people and a scripted interaction. She would point out that her friend would never approach a situation this way, or she'd be way more kind about that. It was especially interesting to see the loosey-goosey mom get drunk with power and burned the calendar in front of the family as part of the new rules. Everyone was devastated by this action, in fact she went in to explain her reasoning to the teenage son and he said "I understand that you disagreed with how we scheduled things, but do you think that was the kindest and most effective way to prove your point?" So mature, not crazy or brainwashed. The other family benefitted from having the Christian mom in their house too: the kids there didn't want to be left to their own devices and they actually said they liked having some direction and advice coming from a parental figure. The best part though? The Christian family brought back their calendar and kept all the other changes the other wife made in the house like letting the daughter learn how to play the drums and giving more trust to their teenage son when it came to dating. That was one episode where I can definitely say that both families actually learned from each other. The rest of the show? Oof the drama. Yeah, there are many parts that are totally scripted. Anyway, thanks for reading my rant. Glad I mostly stick to KZfaq for entertainment now.

My step-dad was a firm believer in men went to a job, grilled, did yard work, but would go ballistic if he or his son was asked to was the dishes or to do laundry. It changed once I moved out for college and he ended up losing his job and went on disability due to his health and he was actually the one who would pick up after the household. He even apologized for how he treated me when I was growing up before he died in 2018. There are still some things left unsaid, and some feeling felt, but I could say that I do forgive him in that aspect. RIP

Sorry, but for the first family, I don’t even think most housewives in the 50’s bought into the extent this family goes through. I think they had more self respect than this. This is insane! Also sad to see a family apparently thinking that a Dad *hanging with his own kids* is somehow “pussification”, even if this is fake. It’s already a weird mild expectation in society that Dads can’t be emotional with their kids. Again, I think there were Dads in the 50’s that were healthier father figures than this. This is so cringe tbh.

The completely bonkers lady who lives with a biker and is convinced that women should be seen and not heard? Well, there's hordes of her out there, right? That's how we could find her. With social media elevating the loudest, craziest voices and reality television finding the craziest people and then elevating them too, it feels like it's so easy to assume everyone around you is a god damn lunatic. @@tssprankleot sure about the above comentor, but for most people it just happens or they were already interestend in another spiritual practise like witchcraft (for most people that about healing, cleansing protection and anything thats suposed to make u and your life better without causing harm (no Tik Tok Binding Spells please!). U just start to pick up signs and then u accidentally by everything for an altar over the last few years and it just kinda happens. Popular deitys can be egyptian, greek, nordic. (Hinduism gan technically Fall under that term aswell). Paganism is about everything non Christian basically. That does not mean u can not do deity work and Angel work at the same time. Both is fine, but I have heard that Gods like Loki do not feel comfortable with Christian concepts, since they rewrote him to be a bit of a scapegoat, wich is actually not the case. There are so many subcategories like druidry and some r working with local folklore and stuff. Really no limits, u atract what u need and just be honest and aprechiate the deity, if u work with one. Also depens on u and the deity. For example u can work with Apollon to get better at any divination form (personally speaking Archangel Michael and Gabriell can be helpfull aswell with Tarot at least). Satanism like in the video is a separate sphere in paganism, in that context they do not see them like demons that r evil more like ethitys that r there to guide people and that u can call on for wisdom. They do not use a Christian understanding. I personally work with angels, greek deitys, egyptian, roman and nordic. I am more on the omnipotent side its really weird, it basically means no faith and all faiths r real or exist for a reason at the same time. Also I like to clarify I personally believe witchcraft is a commitment to conecting with the earth and all that live in it. Wiccan (a pagan religion) witches have the rule of 3 and would never do curses. I personally believe u atract what u send out so do no evil to others sadly many people that r usally quicker to call themself witch ( instead of seeing it as a commitment and journey) look up some bindingspell shit under the cover of a lovespell and cause some damadge or r surprised that it backfires to them (what u send out isnwhat u atract). I kinda got into witchcraft, cause enough people curse otehrs without rituals in form of longterm abuse or deceptive gossip thats why protection and cleansing is a witches priority and that would start a whole other comversation. Ohh bevor I forgot deitys can also show up in your dreams or in Lokis or hermes case stuff disapears and in Lokis case your electronics dont work for a while. Usally u work with deitys to heal something another example would be Lady Aphrodite and she can help with inner child healing and selflove and has a very loving energy. Ohh and of course even if stuff is new and makes u uncomfortable its a normal first time reaction, but if it causes u harm or makes u feel ill its not the deity that is says it is. U usally feel that or can just call on the actuall deity for help or whatever spriritguids u believe in. That can also be ancestors. Now I have to watch the video again, since my comment took to long to write.❤🌻🕊🦢🧿 Edit: u also learn a lot about history and cultural developement and changes, when u do your research.

I might be mistaking this for another show, but wasn't there an episode with a couple who hated animals? The wife threatened to let a family's pet skunk starve to death because she didn't want to feed Scooby, because she only knows skunks for spraying, even though his spray glands were removed, and she proudly admits she took all of the kids' pets away, including their puppies just because SHE thinks animals are inherently unclean. In the other family, the husband told a bunch of animals "I hate you" to their faces, knowing they can't say anything back like the coward he is while proclaiming that all animals (yes, even dogs and cats) are his "dinner", and they wouldn't let their daughter have a pet cat because they think cats are filthy due to being animals, when they're actually the complete opposite of filthy. I can just imagine how they'd react when they find out that the human race is part of the animal kingdom; they'd probably call for total extinction of their own kind.

This whole show was a brain blast. All the wives, all the controversies, murder..There's even a racist family. I don't know if you want to make another video on this topic but there's tons to work with for you.

@@genericname2747 Yea I'm pretty sure that one of the families in the show had a kid and he killed 2 of the family members. It happened years after the episode aired. That's all I remember really. But there's more information in the Internet btw.

Bro you're telling me it's possible to marry someone who likes to slay demons (and devils) ? That's fucking awesome. I want such a wife. Imagine descending to hell with her, shotgun in hand, reaping and tearing, while doom music plays in the background. Also she made a distinction between demons and devils, which means she also plays DnD. Which is always a plus in a partner

Only episode I know from this show was the bit with a vegan wife who got swapped to a hunting family and one day, she was tasked with cooking dinner but deliberately didn’t put out the frozen meat to thaw, and she was like “oh no, guess we’re not gonna eat meat tonight for dinner!“ but the husband then went out and caught himself a rabbit for the family to eat and she started sobbing about it.

You’d hope that this show just randomly pairs families together, but no they look at all the applications and select pairs that they think will have the most trouble. They want drama.

I think it'd be funny if one day they just put the wives in a family just like theirs. No drama, just 2 women being like "hey these guys are pretty cool"

Yea I learned that most of the couples usually get a divorce or there’s a murder case associated with this show because the family was way too strict on their kids.

A lot of men believe women have an obligation to look pretty, as they define it. They can’t stand the idea that women aren’t focused on them. And these tough guys … 😂 The poor things. They don’t seem to realize … we can all see how weak they are. They can’t tolerate any level of change or frustration. They’re such bad examples for their children.

I remember watching Wife Swap a lot when I was a tween/teen. They quickly ran out of opposite archetypes to use and ended up repeating a lot of them, or reaching for weirder and less realistic characters. I also seem to remember the families getting more obnoxious and immature with each successive season, presumably to keep viewers engaged by upping the drama.

unfortunately ive been exposed to this show fairly recently since my sister and her boyfriend wanted to watch the episode where *the controlling **-ab*sive-** (oops i meant strict) russian mom who thinks americans spoil their kids and her kids get perfect grades and do extracurriculars so they have LITERALLY no free time and no way to hang out with friends outside of school* swaps with *the over-lenient mom whose husband walks around in a towel everywhere and she can never get him or the kids to do anything* and i had to ask them to turn off the episode because it was giving me flashbacks
