Decades ago a friend, who didn’t have a car, wanted me to drive her to her ex-boyfriend’s house to determine if he was married. The guy was a psychologist. I declined and said, “I wasn’t interested in getting arrested.” She finally did get over there and there was a wife. He wasn’t home and my friend spoke to the wife. Her husband, the rat, had told her that one of his patients had become attached and was delusional and claimed they were dating. My friend had actually met him in graduate school and was not a patient. They had been dating for weeks if not a month or so and it was a red flag, to me anyway, that he had never invited her to his house. 🤔

@@mobus1603 No, but that's where it all begins. It used to be an unexpected child arrives believing the dad is their dad, and wife convincing said "pop" it is actually his. No way to tell; but those not so distant times really don't exist now and Grandma could be financing/rearing said surprise before marriage, even a commitment, but 18 yrs. of $ for both child and mom. And if one couldn't stand having sex w/that spouse after all (or if being used as a beard, prop, cash cow) and fooled, I don't want to say" I told you so!" What I believe this commentator, and mother of a son, but forgot to add perhaps out modesty is, don't sleep w/someone sleeping w/someone else BECAUSE kids could be in the offing. But, wait and see later if that person is someone you LIKE being intimate with over time, and once married often enough to make everyone if not gleeful, mostly satisfied, because men and sometimes women don't know what women want, and will do! Something similar happened to me. I had 4 young children with an ex who became so emboldened as to blame me for his cheating and actually brought his lover to our home to answer my question of "does she love you, too?" There was a lot more narcissistic behavior on his part, and yes, it was infuriating. During the 3-year process of divorce, I eventually cut all ties to preserve my sanity. I got down on my knees to pray and meditate, and I believe this kept me from doing anything I would later regret. A person like this is not worth your sanity, future happiness, and any damage to your children. By humbling myself, I discovered how others went through pain like this. I went back to work, my children are now grown, and I am happy again (for many years now).
@theresastewart1178
@theresastewart1178 Жыл бұрын
A question to ask yourself during this whole process is "what is the penalty, by law". You quickly realize that, in the U.S., it is not death. Then you move on to the next important question. "Do I want to live in this kind of pain?" If you are healthy, the clear answer is "no". Finally, realize that this person is merely human, and I would definitely not risk my relationship with God over human folly. Seek the relief that divorce offers, and smile. You just accomplished probably the hardest thing in life. Plus, you can use these skills acquired by this horrible time in other situations. I am now considered to be a very patient, trustworthy confidante by many.

My theory is that during their "date night" Jeff noticed her constantly texting, waited for Kira to fall asleep. He checked her phone, found actual PROOF that she was texting her lover while they were having a date night to try to work on things. He realized it was futile and she had no intention of working it out with him. He became enraged and bashed her head in while she was sleeping so as not to disturb the roommate...Once he realized the date was a sham and that she was going through the motions, all the while texting and playing grab ass with another man, he saw things for what they were.

It is potentially dangerous as you may not know how your husband/wife may react with passion. Be curtious, be kind, always! We had to lock our office doors and the wife started looking at all our cars as if she was trying to find my coworker's to smash. Our building manager went out there and got her to leave. It was frightening and could have put us all in danger if it had gotten more serious. Another time I went on a date set up by a friend. He was the cousin my realtor at that time. I called him out on it and refused to even go there. I cut off all communication. Business and the like. No thank you! Even when I was single and met married women I never pursued it because it's just gross on every level. There's millions of singles in the world at your convenience. To tamper with a relationship just says something deeper about each person's level of narcissistic needs. One needs to dishonor a marriage vow while committing such a disloyal act. The other needs to feel they are taking from the innocent party while starting a relationship. It's like getting a new home or car and knowing you committed some heinous fraud to get it. Yuck! Some people are just without conscience and will do or say anything to justify getting what they want in a wicked way. It's a no brainier to avoid adultery as the lover or the spouse period..

My ex fiancé did that to me. She was texting her co worker constantly while we were hanging out. I had no idea she was straying, but I do remember saying "enough" with the constant texting. I found a video on an old cell phone of when we were out to dinner. She was texting who I assume was him. I asked a super immature "are you texting your boyfriend?" She looked at me with more contempt than I ever saw from another person as she gave me the single finger salute. She eventually wanted to take a "break". I knew that meant she didn't want to be with me anymore. I agreed as long as there wasn't anyone else involved. She said no, so I agreed. While she maintained she was not involved with anyone else, when I went to take her a sweetest day gift her mom told me she was in Chicago with "Chris" (one of her co workers). She looked at me confused, like she didn't know, that I was uninformed. I had an old friend who was a private investigator, and he confirmed they were kissing each other while out in public. So I started seeing other women immediately after learning that. I didn't tell her. For some reason she kept trying to keep me hanging on. Eventually things started to happen on MySpace (this was in 2007). By early December I see from her profile that he changed his profile pic to one of her and him all loved up on each other. So I removed her from mine and put my ex from high school up there (we had split up in 1997, and as I was going through this break up, she was divorcing the guy she left me for). This enraged my ex, and she called me to chastise me for it. I told her I knew that she had been with Chris all that time. That the last time we had sex, and she had those new moves, I knew where she got then from, because that day I asked her where she learned them. (I was so naive..) I knew it was him because she was crying, and she said "I love you so much". Yeah bullshit.... Then he decided to get involved due to a car we had co-signed together. When we broke up, I had a different job that paid 1/3 of what I had been making, so it was really tight and I was consistently late on payments. The pull up to the car wash I was working one winter day. She and I discussed the matter and she left. When I got home I was greeted with a private message in FB from him. He said that I was lucky that he didn't get out of the car and show her what a real man can do. I replied: "Be careful how you get your girls, because that's how you'll lose them. My address is _0-4 ___-ll_@ ave R-_-3$_r H-_-$, etc etc. I'm home by 2pm every day." He never showed. Four years after that I was playing drums for a church. One of her old friends was in attendance. She cane up to me to say that they weren't friends anymore. Apparently my ex slept with the friend's male roommate. My ex told her cousin, who told Chris, and he lost his marbles. He threatened to kill the friend and her family. I told her not to worry. That I warned him, and he's a coward. In 2015 my gf and I move to the neighboring city where he was from. One morning while out to breakfast, he walked in with an elderly woman whom I assume was his mom. He didn't recognize me. I wore my hair up in a winter hat, and had grown a beard. I paid for his meal that day when I left. At that point I was thankful for the intervention and the lesson. My ex was untrustworthy. I didn't know he helped me figure it out. She had tried to come back through the time they were together. I never replied. In the summer of 2012 the girl I'm with now moved back up from Florida to our home state to be with me. My ex tried again, and this time I said out of respect for your engagement to Chris and my new relationship, I think it's best we move on with our lives. Haven't heard from her since. I won't say I wasn't angry, or didn't have thoughts of ending my life. Those were some incredibly dark days, but in the end I can say I recovered and am doing really great! Had I had gone another route I might be sitting in a prison cell, or in a lying in a casket. I think I made the right decision...

Besides the moral aspect of it, many co-workers explained that it’s dangerous to engage in affairs. I mean, there are hundreds of tv shows that prove so. Anyhow, the girlfriend showed up to my work asking every female employee our name after the boyfriend told her the truth. This woman brought a group of friends to confront my co-worker. If she simply left him before starting a relationship with someone else she would probably still be alive. And to the husband, just own it, lying to the cops just double his prison sentence. I knew a woman who was stuck in an unhappy marriage with a man who bullied and controlled her. He would not let her go to work and rarely let her go out so she had no money or support structure of her own for her to be able to just leave. She met another man who treated her with love and respect and cheated with him before leaving her husband. He then stabbed her in the throat and killed her before hanging himself. Leaving their four adult children without parents (one was only 18). People seemed more sympathetic to him than her just because she cheated. But people don't ever seem to ask themselves why people cheat. Not everyone who cheats can just leave. But they still desire emotional and physical intimacy and affection. It's a natural human urge.

when men cheat, they are “dogs”. when women cheat, their needs arent being met and the man is at fault again. this woman had 4 adult children with the man but didnt know what his reaction would be to cheating? she made her bed.
@darkwoods1954
@darkwoods1954 Жыл бұрын
@@0bservationist I agree that men cheat for the same reason usually, their emotional or physical needs aren't being met. I didn't say one gender was more acceptable to cheat than others. She made her bed? So because she sought affection from someone who didn't bully and control her she asked to be murdered? I'd rather be cheated on 1000 times than be murdered just once. Being cheated on bruises your ego. Get over it and move on. It's no where near as bad as murder. But a lot of people seem to be motivated by their ego and insecurities so can't stand the thought that their partner needed to find satisfaction elsewhere and get very defensive whenever cheating is the topic.

@@darkwoods1954 when breakups happen, men stand to lose MUCH more. and im not talking about money (although that would be valid too) usually women can find a partner instantly, if they didnt have one lined up even before the breakup, whereas men, it could take years, or maybe it will just never happen. So what I'm saying is, when a women wants a clean break, she should take her chance and go. dont dawdle, dawdling can be deadly.

If she don't clearly fully respect you then you can never trust her. If she's always giving you a hard time or talking down to you or always complaining or withholding sex she definitely don't respect you or love you and you should cut ties. There's always another one. You also have to look at why she doesn't respect you tho it goes both way. She don't have a right to cheat but you don't have the right to be getting complacent and not taking care of her. You need to maintain a deep strong bond, people don't stop having needs after you been together for a certain amount of time. How things were in your first year or two should stay that way until you're not old enough to screw anymore.

Doubtful. You don't just go from zero to murder. He was likely high control and Kiara was afraid. Some people engage in affairs to distance themselves from the relationship.
