If you don't have afro-textured hair/are not black, then what business do you have wearing it? Just to look cool and cosplay someone you aren't? Why not be yourself? I mean she's young and her mentors are probably the ones telling her it's okay, which is even more problematic 🤦🏽‍♂

Sooooo. You’re saying that someone who wears a Do Rag has to be Black? So what about the MILLIONS of Asian BBoys and BGirls who wear baggy pants and Tims? Are you attacking them? Or the white BBoys and BGirls from Europe who wear gold chains? Are you attacking them? How about me-I wear suits. That’s a European thing. And I selling out for that? That argument as articulate as you may have said it-makes NO SENSE. If Nicka is breaking and wants to assimilate to the Historic BBoys and BGirls-She can wear whatever she wants. There is no room for RACISM in Breaking. I was there when it started in August 11 1973. Taking the Burn moves to Breaking/BBOY and watched it evolve into what it is now. I’m her Mentor as well. And proud of her for keeping our dance and culture ALIIVE and growing. You need to be applauding her not trying to shame her. There are 30 Million Breakers in the world today. It has become an Olympic sport. It ain’t just in the Bronx no more Brother. Let’s all unite and SUPPORT our culture. She is part of our culture. I hope this puts this ridiculous argument to bed.
