During the whole ‘’using the buttons of the face of the wii remote’’ part all you have to do is plug in a gamecube controller or a wii classic controller and use the d pad on that its so much easier

If I have an SD card with games loaded on it to use with homebrew should I back up my system to that SD card or use a different SD card entirely for backing up?

My wii has a problem with the primary and secondary DNS addresses and when I run a connection test, it says cannot connect to the internet and adds an error code. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I am in Australia and don’t know if this is a factor?

I lost my Wii a few years ago I wish I still had my Wii to hack it in 6 minutes, but once I manage to successfully mod my Wii U, I’ll enjoy playing the Wii games I’ve always wanted to play

Notes; 1. Back up "NAND", press "Start" button (Power Button). 2. 1-2 minutes will have have some text load, then the screen will blink with distorted dots & green...happen to me, no issue afterwards. 3. Have issue with WiFi connecting to the internet? It's actually your router security, better getting an Lan adapter but if you have a older router or wifi extender then connect to that (which I did, cause my main router have loads of security options I don't wanna mess with).

As of this day, the DNS does nothing for me, it gives me an error 52130. Checked and double checked the DN. I did notice that it kept putting 0's in the DNS with the double digits.

The first time I did that mod was with the letterbomb download. But this is hands down the best way to softmod the Nintendo Wii.

Should I use a seperate SD card to do all of this instead of using the card that has files I previously bought from the store when it was still active?

Just noticed that in my Wii i can't select with the "Eject" button on the BootMii menu instead the "Reset" button works

Will this erase all of my data when following this? I have wanted to mod my Wii as the disc drive is loud even after cleaning the console and attempting to repair. My Dad passed away years ago and this console is a bit of a time capsule in that our Wii Fit characters still age and in a weird way it's like having a digital version of him still with us.

If you have 3 rows instead of 2, you have to click on the arrow on the right side to get to "Auto obtain DSN" menu

How do I actually play and load the games though? this just makes it so you have home brew there. nothing is in the homebrew channel like I used to have with the usbgxloader for example.

This broke my wii, I installed bootmii as a boot2 now the controller went to player 2 instead of 1 now it won't work and when I turn it off and on again it's just black and doesn't turn on, any fixes?

Did not work. Inserted correct numbers. When checking the settings after saving, the system had automatically inserted zeros in places there were none.

I have a few questions. How big of an SD card do I need for this mod to work? Also, I can't get the WiFi to connect to my Wii. I've seen videos where they recommend switching to a USB WiFi adapter on the back of the Wii. Does the brand matter? Is a Chinese-made unit ok or use only a Nintendo-brand adapter? when your on the bootMii bit if you have a gamecube controller you could use that so you dont have to use the buttons on the wii

You can use a gamecube controller instead of the buttons on the front of the console in bootMii. Much easier!

As of May 13th 2022 this is not working for me, I tried on 2 different Wii systems, both have the same error after putting in the DNS settings, "Error Code: 52230 Unable to connect to the server."

Hi, whenever I press accept, my Wii freezes again on the same screen when I restart it. I even tried waiting it out and pressing nothing, no success. Anyone know how to fix this?
