This still is my favourite Zelda game I've ever played ! I absolutely loved the other ones but Windwaker just had something that was so addictive. This HD remake is like a dream come true to me ! simply can't freaking wait for this !!!

I like the ability to play this game exclusively on the gamepad. I recently bought a Wii-U. I loved this game on the gamecube and this game looks great in HD on the Wii-U. I think the gamepad on the Wii-U is genius and has nice touch features and clear HD display. I look forward to playing this game on the Wii-U using the gamepad features.

You can now map items to the control pad AND the x, y and zr buttons! Aonuma didn't talk about it but now there's less going to the start menu to switch an item. I hope they added a new dungeon too.

They are. They're making Zelda for WiiU, and a sequel to A Link to the Past called A Link between Worlds. This HD remake was basically them completly the dream game they wanted to.

i can't believe windwaker was 10 years ago! i remembered when people were mocking it just because it looked cartoony, but when i got my hands on it i spent days on it and collecting the triforces was hard but well worth it at the end.

This was a remake, the models are not just rendered in a higher resolution, they have more polygons. It's completely redone

When Nintendo first announced this remake I thought it would be pointless because I thought the original game cube graphics weren't bad at all, but now that they are adding new features and improving things, I'm realizing this is going to be an amazing game :)

Play the original right now. It still looks good to this day. They only made it look better with HD. Awesome.

It's been a while since I played Wind Waker on my Gamecube. I am actually pretty excited for this! I would love to go back and play my first Legend of Zelda game improved on HD.

Exactly. My brother and I replayed Twilight princess, and we thought, "Man, these graphics weren't as good as we thought at first", but when I played WInd Waker, the only detail I could nitpick, is that it looked a little fuzzy around the edges.

I think they could improve the triforce quest.Make it so that you must get a specific piece at a specific point in the game, in increments, so that once you finish the Master Sword crafting, you should have most of the pieces. Or scrap the eight pieces and leave it so its after the Master Sword crafting and make it so you look for only the Triforce of Courage, Power and Wisdom. Or a simple prompt from the King between each dungeon to get a specific piece at a specific place and he marks your map

he means the 2 dungeons and 1 island that were replaced by the triforce fetch quest in the original version

it does have sequels in a sense if you look at the time line you will notice the games are in a set up and do correspond with other games.

Look up PBG's view of the game. I'm with him on that one, as he said that there may be only a few islands, but there were still cool things and that kept alot of mystery. If you didn't like the great sea, then you're either just impatient or have no sense of adventure IMO. Because atleast every 30sec. SOMETHING would pop up. Some barrels with rupees, a little raft from moblins which you could take over, bombturrets you could take over etc.

They said one was almost shown at E3 but it's somewhat short of being ready for showing. Development is going along well. Hopefully we'll get a glimpse of it in a Nintendo Direct in the coming months.

I don't exactly know since Nintendo never directly told us what these dungeons/islands were. Though the only clue we have is that the main elements of these unreleased dungeons were used in future games. So it's either in Phantom Hourglass or Twilight Princess since I don't think they'd hold the dungeon elements/ideas in games any further than that.

See this is what’s great about remakes it allows people to play a game they didn’t get a chance to play when it originally came out and it allows the developers to improve on the game making it even better then the original!

Sailing faster makes the game 20 times better. Biggest improvement in my opinion

In the video he mentions aiming with the gyroscope. That's what I'm talking about. I don't like using the gyroscope for aiming. I really like the idea of using the pad for menus, just not aiming.

When they made WW for GameCube, they had to cut out dungeons due to time constraints. It was rumored that they would be re-added in the HD version, but after I posted that comment, Nintendo said that they had actually used the cut dungeons in other games, so putting them in WWHD wouldn't be anything new. For some reason, they didn't specify which dungeons those were, which I would like to know.

Well, it started out as an expansion pack for OoT with the N64 expansion called the DD (Disk Drive) and they were going to make a DLC for OoT called Ura Zelda, but ultimately the DD failed but they still had a game that was partly made, so they were told if they could make a full zelda game within 1 year, they could release it, and that game later on left the expansion of OoT and became Majora's Mask. If you search up gaming mysterious of Ura zelda it explains it much better than this

It's the truth, why do I like these more? in Ocarina of Time you play as a child and an adult, playing in two parallel worlds (Present and Future) going back and fourth to beat the game. That's great gameplay. in A Link to the Past you also play in two parallel worlds (Light and Dark World) back tracing from the world you knew but different and more challenge. Terrific. And Majoras Mask you take 5 different forms (Hylian, Deku, Zora, Goron, Fierce Deity) you have three days, must constantly

They already remade Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time, probably the two most famous games in the Zelda franchise, Wind Waker would be another good one to remake.

All the games you see ARE IN FULL HD. Nintendo said every game at E3 was in 1080p and running at 60FPS. Windwaker, Iwata confirmed its 1080p rendering with shading, bloom etc. etc. Bayonetta 2, 60FPS, Mario Kart 8, 60FPS Donkey Kong 60 FPS etc. etc. Seriously, people who think the Wii U isn't capable of 60FPS and all that, need to know, LAUNCH games aren't a representation of the consoles full power, just look at the launch games of the PS4

They remade it because currently its the only console Zelda game not available to be played on WiiU. TP and SS are both compatible to be played on WiiU. OoT and MM can be played through the virtual console as well. So basically Windwaker is the only game thats shit out of luck for people who don't have a GCube/Backwards compatible Wii or are willing to shell out 80 bucks on amazon.

The graphics that everyone complained about (and seemingly still complain about) are timeless. They'll stand the test of time and Wind Waker will always be the best looking Zelda game years later because of the cartoon look. Go back and play Wind Waker on Gamecube. Still looks good, even on my HDTV. Play Ocarina and Majora's Mask... the graphics have aged. Even Twilight Princess. Wind Waker? Nope. Gorgeous.

this is going be really good. its not often nintendo gets a second try. this is far more than just an hd remake. theyve had quite a lot of time to see what they could have done to make wind waker better and now they have a chance to do it.
