Switching out a cracked Wii U screen and attaching or re-attaching the digitizer seemed like a pain. So I cheated. As it turns out you don't need to remove the digitizer from the bezel to re-use it.
If you'd like me to shoot a video on the entire process of pulling the screen out and replacing it let me know in the comments down below. It didn't seem too challenging so I left it out on this one.
I might put up a look at the components and design in the future as well. I do like Nintendo's assembly practices on most of these devices.
And it all worked out. The Wii U gamepad's display is fixed. With the OEM digitizer working marvelously.
The replacement LCD screen was one of the bulk models commonly available on EBay, Amazon, or AliExpress. And there's no compensation (or even free products received) for any of my workbench supply recommendations. They're simply what I've bought and use.
