This was a pretty decent video. Makes me wish it was longer, though. Can one be paid as a bird watcher? I'd do that.

Rare? I don’t know about that, these days, at least… in some places, especially in the southern half of the state, entire herds of javelina can tear through yards and properties by night. We know because it gets filmed regularly on people’s door cams and security cameras! Their numbers are rising I’m sure. And some people feed them vegetables, which of course, is conditioning them to being fed, and not recommended…

The English captions call the javelina a “coward” peccary, lol. But the auto-generated captions are correct and say “collared”.

My dad has an acre and it gets roadrunners all the time

i used to volunteer at a bird shelter in Tucson and have rehabilitated and handled many roadrunners. Fun fact: you can actually pull out their long tail feathers very easily so one must be very careful when handling them to not grab their tail feathers.

We used to have a 'wearable arts' contest in Aotearoa New Zealand. Wouldn't it be great for a US design competition, with charity & competition, to inspire & train industry lead opportunities, long lasting careers, by learning & encouraging growth in 'haute couture' skills & techniques, in several states, or a state, in the US of A? New York, or L.A.? Inspiration comes in many shapes, colours & forms, especially when inspired from, or by nature. Ideally, creating a wealth flow to protect environments & UNESCO park opportunities, in many other states ;-) If only we knew some responsible contacts, to create charities, or foundations, for tax free donations & training opportunities, making profits to pay for staff, materials & the like .... Circular economies exist, with money flowing back, to protect valuable environs & the species they nurture & future generations of humans & animals, plus plant life as well ;-)

Why is this called humming birds?
@pearlofthedarkage

They are named hummingbirds because the sound of their wings beating so rapidly makes a humming sound.

I'm hoping that your bad experience wasn't in Tucson. The people of Tucson are some of the most relaxed, chill and super nice people around. I know firsthand. Not only did I grow up here, but it's also home.
