This was the only time I liked wild bill, almost every other instance of him was evil. But I guess he realized that Percy needed to be taught a lesson and he was the man who fit the bill

True, because the whole difference between Bill and Percy is that Bill truly was dangerous, insane, unpredictable and would attack you if you would hurt or anger him. Percy on the other hand was more of a big mouth, show off, arrogant and a sneaky person who would have done nothing in return if you stood up to him. He is the type of person that if he would slap you and you would slap him back, he would run, cry and tell on you.

@@GiovanniChristensen Both are dangerous in their own ways though. Bill does it up front because he gets a kick out of it,, he'll fight you man to man and easily kill you if you give him his chance. Whereas Percy is dangerous because he holds grudges but he's sneaky and a sly little bas*ard. You find that out with what he does to Del, he gets what he deems as his revenge there.

Hence why his character is pretty awesome.. its hard to hate someone and want them to die a horrible death but the one who played Percy was fantastic in his portrayal. A genuinely horrible little bastard who you simply can't route for, that's the ultimate "baddie". In todays world you get Heath Ledgers joker, who your supposed to hate but end up admiring lol.

I feel the same way with Harry Potter. Some villains including Voldemort you just can't hate. Then there's Dolores Umbridge, who ends up hated above all others. I guess Percy and Umbridge have that certain trait of being "relatable to real-life horrors." We don't see many people like Wild Bill or Lord Voldemort. But we've all dealt with someone like Percy or Umbridge.

Every inflection of tone, subtle or obvious, was absolutely brilliant in this movie. Every character had such a richness to them. Some characters are so 2 dimensional. . .these, you just can't wait to see more from. EXCELLENT movie.

Everyone is saying Michael Clarke Duncan should've won an Oscar and then people are saying Michael Jeter should have and others are saying Doug Hutchinson etc...there was also David Morse and maby others. Probably why none of them did win. It was a great ensembled supporting cast where they all didn't have enough dialogue to win it really and even if 1 of them won you could say the other one was robbed. The actual winner (Michael Caine) probably had more lines in the film he won it from. I know it's not all about the words but TheGreenMile actors facial expressions were all good so to pick 1 is hard. The reason why most say MCD was the one robbed the most was just because they loved his nice character more than the other characters.

Loved this scene. I was never fully sure whether Bill did it just for shits and giggles, or because he lowkey wanted to stand up for Del, a fellow death row inmate who didn't get on his nerves. Bill is never seen interacting with either Del or Percy aside from this single scene here, so I guess it is up for interpretation, but the way he mocked Percies "I was just playin" line makes me think him wanting to inflict some revenge for Del is more likely.

I think it's simply a case of a bully being put in his place by a bigger bully. Wild Bill saw what a prick Percy is to people and heard what he said to him at the start, so when the opportunity arose he put him in his place. I don't think Bill cared about Del, as he was jumping around excitedly when he's getting executed and singing about him being a "French fried f****t" afterwards.

Wharton owned practically everyone . Attacked everyone when he entered the prison, Urinated on Harry, Spat in Paul and Brutus's face, whispered suggestive comments in Percy's ear and made him piss his pants, choked Dean Stanton. Sam Rockwell potrayed this character so well that I thought the policemen had really picked a "devil" from the street and brought him to the prison.

Percy is just straight up mean. He just makes me mad. He got exactly what he deserved in the end. Loved when he was yelling when wild Bill grabbed him and was like let me go! Then again Percy is good looking minus the bad attitude. Love him and hate him at the same time. He is very handsome. He sounded like a monster when he told Paul don't touch me.Percy I think i love you.
