Hi Josie, yes The Malaysian nature journal, The moths of Borneo website and Moths of south east Asia by Henry Barlow are a good start.. Richard.

It surprises me that there seems to be no cockroach among them. I like insects but cockroach is a notable exception.

amazing, did you have any problems with insect collecting? does it require any permits?

Hi there, I don't collect, I only take digital images and video. You even need permits to do that in national park areas. You certainly need permits if you collect and plan to take anything home. Richard.

any tips on doing this without spending money? i have a lamp on my porch but it doesn’t attract many moths.

You will need the correct sort of lamp, a mercury vapour lamp around 125W which will need a transformer to run. Anglian lepidopterist supplies in the UK can help.
