This was our first non winter wild camp at Bamford Edge. What a totally different experience, lessons were learned. I don’t think Will will be coming back here again, at least not in the summer! #wildcamp #wildcampinguk #peakdistrict #backpacking #hilleberg #outdoors #tentcamping

yea bamford edge is known for rangers coming up and ushering people along but i camped in that section they cant see i did a video last year at the exact location and its a stunner :)

Bamford has always been heavily keepered, before CRoW any interested public, mainly climbers back then, were only allowed there between October & March and only then if they asked the estate manager. Remember, rights come with responsibilities.

We dont realise how lucky we are here up in Scotland , what a carry on just to enjoy a bit of nature and go camping ! Anyway enjoyed that 👍🏕

Probably won’t be going back there now that I know it’s privately owned.

@@Wildcamp-lifestyle I used to make it an annual event going up there, but the last time I was there, in the morning, I had an incident with an angry farmer. So like yourself, it's now off my places to camp at.

@@Lat265 When I met him in the evening, he was armed with what looked like a 22 rifle. He asked if I'd seen a dog. He told me that it had been worrying sheep and he was out to shoot it. Apart from that, he was quite pleasant and he wished me a good evening. However, at 5.30am the next morning, he approached on his quad bike and he had turned into Mr Angry Farmer. I attempted to be polite with him for quite a while, but then his attitude started to get to me a little bit, so subsequently I adopted a 'WTF are you going to do about it?' attitude with him. After that, he backed down a bit, and we both went on our ways.🙂
