The guy shooting the gun was the other guy that wanted the claim. He was hiding and watching until they found gold and he started shooting to scare them off. Nice tactic

Good to see Shane carrying one of the most versatile yet most misunderstood tools in mining - a pelican pick! Most people have trouble working out how to use one for the best results, but that's because they only look at them from one point of view. You can use them to dig into all sorts of material or as a scoop or, and this is the best use I have ever found, as a rake to clear a bogged conveyor belt. Simply turn one side on and use it to drag the ore off the belt. You can remove tons of ore in double quick time.

I live in bear country,we also have wolves and coyotes. every time I see this it makes me chuckle a little but I’m betting those dogs can probably be pretty dangerous!

@@karenvickery6070 if the animal wants something it will just run out of sight and wait. I saw a guy on a mower and a coyote came right up to him. And a mower is quite loud as you know..lol I have watched videos from the air of what a coyote will do and you always see them circle and lay and wait. Unless it is just passing through, but hungry and hunting? Different story it's not going anywhere

Pretty much under control, some mammals naturally carry it like Flying Foxes, I've known several people to of been bitten by the big bat & they had to have several mandatory injections for Rabies over 6 months, the injections were worse than the bite, get bitten by one of these dogs & I have no doubt you will be rolling your sleeve up as a precaution.

@@Wolfsschanze99 fruit bats don't carry rabies in Australia. Unless infected ones fly from Asia we have kept the disease out of Australia.

@@davidkeep6526 All bats in Australia can carry, most have the lyssavirus which is a form of Rabies, get bitten by a Bat, any Bat, go to the Doctors & see what happens.

@@Wolfsschanze99 Australia is currently rabies-free. Rabies is a very rare infection of travellers to endemic areas outside Australia. Only two imported human cases were reported between 1900 and 1995 (in 1987 and 1990).

These are mongrel breds...ex working dogs, hunting dogs gone bush & bred up..check footage on feral cats.. they'll pull down a small wallaby, paddymelon & these footage of one with a Goanna 3x the size of the cat ffs! Since Howard's gun laws reform, feral goats, pigs, deer, donkeys, camel, dogs & cats are going mad..

Making a mess of the country, in the 80s youd get $20+ for a fox pelt, you could make coin knockn bunnies for felt for hats...grew up in the country so rifles were a tool. Cats would make great ugg boots.. just finding a matching pair is hard! Pigs, deer, camels, horses are rampant up north. We won't (the govt & the do gooders) be happy til the joints buggered. Haha! Sorry for the rant! But yeah l agree, ferals should be knocked.

Because they are in Australia and owning firearms there especially pistols are illegal you will go to prison

2 ways of owning a handgun, you can join a club but takes about a year before you can apply for ownership, easiest way is having a Security licence but this is expensive, these guys would not have a problem getting a long arms licence & buying a nice scoped rifle if they wanted too.

Now fellas , I know you two ain't scared of no dogs , you're plumbers . Every other house we go into has a dog or three. Get the old meter key or sharp shooter out and aid those dogs in a good old rib bashing and skull cracking education. J/k , I only need to be faster than the slowest guy. That being the camera man.

Yes you can, you just need a valid reason. In Aust, valid reasons are Primary Production, Hunting, and Target Shooting. NOTE: personal protection is NOT a valid reason. The other thing is the gun must match the use. No point using a 50cal on rabbits.

Actually it's pretty easy to get a gun here in Aus, all you gotta do is have a reason and not be mentally ill, a child or a criminal. And your reason can be almost anything, I got my first one because I joined a gun club and that's all it took now I've got a couple because I live rural and feral dogs, dingos and for the occasional roo/boar hunt. Loads of people in Aus own guns, it's just that children, criminals and the mentally ill/handicapped are unable to own guns here and to be honest we like it that way.
