my favourite shenanigan from the editors was that one fight in season 2 with tatiana and raven, where tati is like you think I'm shit and raven cuts her off with a I would never say that... I would never say you're shit, which gets cut to raven in confessionals saying tati is shit

For context for anyone that doesn’t know. The reason Tammi was acting that way was because the producers kept telling them they needed to give them a scene. The producers were trying to force a scene and Tammy was sick of it so she started acting a damn fool 😂 That’s why she says “I’m acting” because she felt like they we’re basically asking the queens to act rather then show reality.

THE MAX MOMENT, god that was a wild edit, they totally hung her out to dry with cutting out the context of the singing. It’s such a choice and it felt unnecessarily mean. I somehow never clocked the “St Tropez” being the same clip, but I remember Willam’s boat constantly losing and gaining stickers during the cuts 😂

it sucks that she ever had a negative reaction in the first place. I understand why people were hesitant - but Maddy isn't just some straight bro off the street, drag was part of her gender journey in a place (arkansas lol) that didn't have a lot of exposure to different gender idenities and how to express yourself. sometimes a gender journey ends up taking someone back where it started and that's okay. and i think it's important to have conversations about how fluid identity can be and not feel pressured to label yourself.

between her and daya for sure... i dont think maddys edit overall was bad, but obviously any straight person on the show wouldve been given that fandom treatment initially. it just is a testament to how genuine and charming a person she is. and on the opposite side of things, you have daya with a genuinely AWFUL edit that looped all the way back around to good because of how much the versed members of the audience lived for it (and production as well, obviously). their video together on maddys channel is really the best thing i couldve asked for.

Real talk though, I saw this clearly edited pic of Jessica Wild smiling like the Cheshire Cat when she chose Alexis' lipstick; the pic went viral, then there were these comments online saying "I love how Jessica was smiling when she chose Alexis!", then I posted the clip of her choosing it where her facial expression is blank, and people were like "Wait is that what happened? I thought she hated Alexis' guts after seeing her smile" and that was a big moment for me of "Oh my god, you can truly spin the narrative online however you want." Same thing happened with the pic of Jessica Wild rolling her eyes that episode of Alexis' crying with the roles being picked. She was rolling her eyes at Kahanna trying to leave.

A thing I loved about the editors recently was in season 15 extended episodes. In episode 4 they were giving a critique to Aura, saying that she needed to let loose, and then they showed Loosey giggling. The funny thing is that the critique was already in the 40 minute episode, but they added that clip after Let Loose became viral lol

Honestly the most wild editing choice on drag race for me is the frequency of which you hear the symbols instrument. The second you start noticing it you will never unhear it and it makes you laugh every second with how overused it is. And if you decided to start a drinking game every time you would hear it, you would be knocked out 10 minutes into an episode...

My favorite edit is when Laganja asked everyone how they felt in untucked, and Adore goes "About what?" and continues to drink her cocktail. And the camera would cut to each girl just drinking with slurping and gulping noises. And Laganja still asking and looking around distraut. Then it cuts to her confessional going "What the fuck?!" Idk if you added that scene from the first episode of Untucked on Season 6 in your other video. Because you didnt link it.

Dita von Teese once mentioned on Hey Qween (or maybe Look at Huh) that weird Untucked moment and how puzzling was the way they edited it to make it seem like she was all 'alone in the VIP', when she actually recalled meeting the queens and having a lovely time with all of them.

Honestly I wish we still had those unhinged edits with queens teleporting and changing clothes mid sentence, maybe then the insane "fans" would stop attacking queens since there would be evidence of the situation not being exactly as we are portrayed to. Also something like the "love" preview with Jinx and Ivy I just pure camp and I wish they would do stuff like that

the Canada editors could have their own video haha. SABOTAGE but also Jada's ghost story immediately coming after Gisele opening up about her difficult past. the whole cut of Jada's monologue about who is Jack? who is Jill? not to mention the laser effect when Peronka stares right into the camera. chef's kiss.

Jessica completely being over Alexis is one of my favorite editing choices in quite a few seasons 😂 It reminds me of that scene with Mystique where she says she doesn’t eat fried food. Then everyone stops speaking and it pans to Tyra and Raven with completely blank stares, Raven sips her drink, then it cuts to Jessica just silently nodding while wearing a cowboy hat 😂😂😂😂

I feel like the only Audio Splice that I felt more natural is in the recent AS8, when they dubbed over someone (I forget which queen) to clarify that Ra’jah O’Hara was the winner of CVTW. It took me a bit to recognize that the season was probably still being filmed when she won. It made sense to edit it in so it wouldn’t seem shady or forgetful.

8:43 - Maddy's KZfaq channel show "Give it to me Straight" is sooo well done! They're always so informative and fun. She's a great listener and really does her research on her guests, to the point that they're almost always gagged by some interesting tidbit from their past they had no idea was out there. Her wit and banter are so quick and amusing. I liked her on the show but now I'm a big fan!

I cackled when they played the dramatic slow mo music with Jujus pillow fight. I appreciate when they allow some goofiness amidst generating (often false) drama. Also I'm sure you have a dozen videos ideas in the works but have you considered a like a guide how to introduce someone to drag race? Like what seasons to start with or what lip syncs to show someone that would get them interested with minimal spoiling.

idec season 13’s premiere is my favorite bc it’s hysterical. the squeal & the pork chop loading dock are absolutely top tier additions to the unseriousness that is new age drag race. i get why people hate it so much but it’s one of the funniest things they’ve done in a long time. my friends & i rewatch it all the time

something i recently noticed is the part where they speed up the queens walking backstage, on a season 2 episode (i think the book challenge) they accidentally used a clip of tatianna nodding and sped that up instead. it was so funny when i noticed it 😭
