The grassland that covers the central region of Brazil is the country’s least known habitat, depending on dramatic summer thunderstorms and fire for its character. The maned wolf is a long-legged and strange predator - it spends half the year feeding on fruit while at other times it hunts insects and rodents. The giant anteater is the most charmingly ridiculous animal on Earth - it has no teeth but feeds on termites using a hugely long tongue. Termites build dramatic mounds that dot the landscape. They are fire and rain proof with concrete hard walls, but the giant anteater has the means to open them. However, the termites’ greatest enemies are bands of aggressive ants. The burrowing owl uses the termite mounds as a look out post - to hunt crickets and grasshoppers. They nest underground in burrows made by strange armadillos. Capuchin monkeys live on the cliffs that overlook the scrub and grassland. They are remarkably smart animals, collecting palm fruits and taking them to traditional spots where they smash them open using an anvil and hammer-stone.

Hey you. Yes, you. You're probably scrolling through the comments, like I am, reading all these motivational comments. If you are reading this at night, you should get some sleep, and don't stress about everything going on in the world, or what you are going through. Don't dwell on things from the past, don't stress on your future. Just live your life, because you only get one. Do whatever makes you happy, not what other people want from you. For me, I'm gonna wake up tomorrow morning, hit the gym, and cherish life for the amazing blessing that it is. I hope you do the same and have an amazing day as well!

Such an awesome documentary 👍. You know the capuchins monkeys maybe smarter than the so called “great” apes. It didn’t mention that they first harvest ripe nuts, and peel the husk, then sun dry it for about a week. After which they tap them to find the nicely dried ones. Only then do the whole nut cracking acrobatics.

The "great" in their name doesn't denote intellect, but to distinguish them from the smaller "lesser apes" or gibbons. I'd still say many apes are very intelligent. Gentaro, a young male gorilla I follow, is given daily tests of intelligence by zookeepers and he does better than the chimps in the next enclosure (and his parents).
