Wild (ish) Bike Camping | My first solo bike camping adventure

Күн бұрынCome with me on my first ever wild bike camping trip! OK, so this trip wasn't completely wild, it was after all my first time bike camping, but I tried to keep it as authentically wild as possible.
The site was pretty basic as you will see and the pitch was so secluded it really helped me feel like I was wild camping. My kit was fairly simple and to be honest, I'm not sure I could have got much more on the bike. A full list of what I took is below.

Wow this looked so peaceful Mac, Me & Scott really enjoyed this! I love being out in nature so this is just perfect! You’re very brave for solo camping think I’d be scared and stay up hearing noises 😂 well done on the sausages!!! And the Granola looked delish!! ☀️

You got gorgeous weather for it, very lucky! Good on you for finally getting out and doing this as it's something you've wanted to do for a while! It looked really peaceful and relaxing. Obviously a camping trip would not be complete without a beer and some sausages!

@@MacSarah Yeah for sure! We may have to wait for the children to be a little bit older, but love the idea of going off on an adventure and igniting their passion for the great outdoors! We may have to leave the dog at home with family though, as last time we tried he just barked at every sound and woke up the whole campsite!

My husband and I are really interested in doing wild camping (more so me 😂). We’ve watched a lot in snowdonia and and Scotland. Really want to give it a go. Great vlog! Thanks Vanessa x

You are much braver than us. Lol. It looks picturesque but as I’ve got older I realise I would miss my home comforts. Like a pillow.. Did you have a pillow? I used to camp in my back garden with friends as a kid but just a little bit of spooky wind in the trees and I was off back to my bedroom leaving my friends in the tent 🤣 🖤

Haha yea I used to camp in the garden too!! One time, while I was camping in the garden, a fox got into the rabbit pen and.... Well you know the rest 😥 Luckily there was no massacre this time and I enjoyed every minute lol. I did have an inflatable pillow which was alright, I just needed a mattress!! Great video, I'm planning on doing similar myself,do you know roughly what weight is your tent? The very light ones cost a fortune, I've been looking at one from decathlon. Cheers for the video and subbed as well.👍🍺

Thanks for watching and subscribing! So, the tent I have as used in the video is 2.2kg so not super light, but ok. Tbh I have a tendancy to take more than the bare minimum so my bike can end up quite heavy lol. But better to have something and not need it than need it and not have it huh? Cheers!
