Hello, and thank you for playing our game! Lots of really good feedback here 🙏 I totally agree with the "too much random" thing. This is an early demo and we don't have all the player tools yet, but we're planning on adding a lot of stuff. Future teeth will do exactly what you suggested: conditionnal effects like "open a chest and the adjacent ennemies are debuffed the next turn", this kind of things! Also and that is totally our fault for not explaining it in the tutorial, but you can combine some of the objects with the sun power. For instance you can use a bomb in a column. Thanks again for playing the game and giving lots of good ideas, we'll let you know when we have a new demo 😊

Some potential ideas: - Give players some control over what monsters, chests or healing items are added to the pool of things that can generate in the grid (the easiest way to balance this is probably to have the tree mentioned in the last point) - Have relics with passive effects that can be bought or that you can pick for free between levels, without a downside (while teeth can keep their downside, and those have the better passive effects) - There could also be other active skills that charge after a few turns, which you get or buy between levels (rather than just having single-use consumables in addition to the sun active). They could have effects like swap 2 cells or reduce the strength of a monster. - Maybe players can work their way through a tree of levels, where a level might have more chests or more monsters of a certain type, etc, and different levels might have different rewards That may make it more similar to other games, but those are some well-established ways of making a roguelike engaging and making players feel like they're progressing through something.

I think a good thing to add could be getting something for defeating the monsters, like XP that could lead to unlocking some perks for your run (maybe even some class specific perks) so you would feel becoming more powerful by each floor and making room for a big variety in builds and making each run more different from the other. To balance that of course enemies would keep getting stronger faster by the floors you progress through :)

Wishlisted. Did not expect much from the player character sprite art but the animation really catches my eye. The bgm is great for thinking.

The graphic style, especially the main character's design, is weirdly reminescent of Bulgarian Treasure Planet.

I do think that there isn't enough difference between attack and magic, at base they are both 1 so at that point it doesn't matter if the number on the enemy is for attack or magic, and at least a t the moment you can rarely change the stat for them Also after getting the door open there is no reason to keep killing enemies so there could also be added an incentive to keep killing them

After the door is open, monsters drop a small amount of gold based on strength maybe?

Does running into monsters with higher stats deal the difference in stats as damage to you? Or does it always just deal 1 damage? I had assumed the latter.

It deals the difference! We're improving the user interface so players don't have to estimate the damage every time😅
