i know you've already had atleast one response, but its a drag racing technique called a dry hop! basically lurch forward as hard as possible. if something breaks its most likely to break during a dry hop instead of at high speed!

no touche needed! not alot of ppl know about dry hops! i've been around drag racing long enough and worked with a minor drag racing team to know little secrets like that! but most drivers don't hop like that because, even though its meant to shake down any loose links it also tears up vehicles real bad! especially axles and drive lines while on hard surface drag strips!
