The problem is being in Georgia its hit and these little tiny orange insects that are smaller than a needle are itchy andbtakes forever to leave the flowers so could i pick these before they open up and bloom. I cant get all the little bugs out of mine 😩

I only have an attention span of about 3 mins, lol, so I sped this vid up to 2x to skip all the flower-picking and get to the meat of the information

pick the flowers, dry them, fill jar half with dried flowers, cover with equal amount of honey, put in window for a few weeks

The sun degrades the herb. I wouldn't leave in the sun.. in the window I would cover jar with a sock or brown paper bag

do you use a cheese cloth to strain?

Do you strip all the flowers or do you leave some on?

Thanks. Is there a video showing the finished product? Also * do you wash the mullein leaves before you dry them? Is it ok to dry the leaves in a dehydrator ? I’ve watched conflicting advice on both of my questions. Curious for another opinion.

Yes, it is OK to dehydrate in dehydrator. I'm an herbalist and travel to teach..if you dehydrated correctly, you will only lose up to 5% of the medicinal strength.

How long is your syrup shelf stable? I know honey is forever. Does the honey infused last a long time?
@WildUtahEdibles6 сағат бұрын
@@OneMound1 just the same as plain honey

So basically you copied someone else’s video and didn’t even complete the process to show the finished product. Kinda lazy and not very well demonstrated. The other video with the Originator was 100 times better. Just saying

Thanks for commenting. Some have more time than I do to do videos but I wanted to offer my spin with honey. I don’t use sugar and don’t think it’s healthy to do so. As for not completing, the only thing missing is straining and yes, with all I have going on I don’t do well with videos that take months to complete. :)
