Hi Oscar, Great content as usual. I'm currently 3500 rank but with Maguire to come off the bench when Haaland doesn't start tonight, I should be 2k. Your insights and thought provoking discussion has been so invaluable this year so thanks so much! I have almost the same WC team, the only difference is I have Dalot over Romero. I worked very hard to find a way to triple up on Spurs but I can't find a way that I'm happy with. I don't think Spurs keep a clean sheet in either game, I think there is more chance of Utd (Dalot for me) or City (Gvardiol for me) getting one in the single game. Like you said, Romero is prone to a yellow or even a red (!) and I'm not sure there is enough up side in Van der Ven, Davies or Emerson to go for them. I toyed with the idea of having Johnson over Gordon but again, Gordon at home has the potential to outscore a double game weeker. My last consideration is on if we get Haaland news. I might be tempted to throw Watkins in for a week and book in the Haaland transfer. Or there is the out there pick of Werner, that could be a monster differential...

Never free hit in a blank gameweek. And stick to your plan. Lesson learnt. I could've fielded 9 players in BGW29, but I panicked in DGW28 and brought in double Bournemouth instead of double Luton, because I only had Solanke for the double. These two decisions have cost me my season. Now, I've gone from 7k to 26k in a matter of two weeks. I held that rank for a good 10-12 GWs too. Could've broke into the Top 500 or Top 1k, if I stuck to my plan. Absolute killer. No one to blame but myself.

@@onsitehistory228Still hurts though. Knowing that I was building towards WC31, FH34 and BB37, and I ditched it just because of FOMO. It's cost me 3 free football shirts. But, we move. It was a good learning curve. Will be sticking to the plan from now onwards, rather than focusing on what other people around my rank are doing.

@@-mmmkayYeah, it's alright but spending most of the season around/inside Top 10k, only being 25-30 points off Top 1k and after all of that only to end up at 26k leaves a sour taste in the mouth. Still 4 gameweeks left to get back to Top 10k. Will be very tough though.

Ah, that does suck. I tried to deadend in GW29, but with injuries and the DGW's before it I could only get to 5 players in GW 29. Which would actually have been good enough, but that's the benefit of hindsight.

121 with Foden to play. No free hit. Could've been better if I hadn't wasted 2 starting spots on Virgil and Salah. I suspected the current Liverpool collapse and captained Saka. Wish I'd gone for Mateta instead!!

I’m tempted to mimic this team in some way as I have wildcard left and also could use my bench boost in game week 37. But there are some risky picks and potential missed points from good players I have now that I’ll have transferred out if I do it.

Interestingly on a points per match basis, Ederson is currently equal 18th on 3.2 points a game although that does include a player who has played only one game.

devastating week lmao, went from 50k to 120k, 33 point red arrow. I have Ben White too so no idea how I lost so much. Went for Wildcard in GW30 so I'm praying I can keep up for the last 4 weeks somehow. Thoughts on Salah + Saka -> Bruno + Son for a -4? Idk whether that's being too reactive or not. Great videos as always though!

thoughts on Emerson Royal? He should fill in the Udogie spot. Cheaper Tottenham defender lets you go Ederson over Gvardiol + Dalot or even just Gabriel to Ben White

Palace and Brentford look to have the best runs. If you aren’t sure or don’t have much money, go for assets from these 2 clubs e.g. Olise, Eze, Mateta, Mbeumo, Pinnock, Flekken, Reguilon.

I think almost all defences that double are rubbish and will concede in both games. So I got Petrovic and Ederson in goal to cover those teams, and Porro and Schär, to cover the defenses of Spurs and Newcastle. And even though I will BB in 37 I have gone for single GW players White, Gabriel and Brandwaithe (who i picked up on monday, before his goal). everton have Sheffield in GW37, really hoping for a CS there, that should be enough to outscore most DGW defenders that week.

People are sleeping on Akanji. Certainly not guranteed to start both in the double, but he's closer to first choice LCB than people realise. Im wouldn't call him a utility player. Recently he's started the FA cup semi final against Chelsea, both legs of the CL tie against Real Madrid and against both Arsenal and Liverpool in the league

I like the Dalot pick, think I'm 0.1m short. Could end up with Maguire if Palmer and Haaland are doubts for GW36 to avoid playing a Spurs defender. Not that Utd are likely to keep a clean sheet 😅
