In today's video we visit Wilderness Lodge at the Walt Disney World Resort. We visited during the Christmas season so we got to see all of the holiday decorations and the Christmas tree in the main lobby. We checked out the Mercantile gift shop for souvenirs and visited Whispering Canyon Cafe, Territory Lounge, Artist Pointe, and Roaring Forks within the main lobby building of the hotel. After that we ventured out onto the resort grounds to see the pools and recreation facilities. While doing so we stopped for lunch at Geyser Point bar and grill for some lunch. After lunch we ventured over to the Disney Vacation Club area of the resort to do some more exploring. We found the Carolwood room which showcases some of Walt Disney's personal collection of railroad cars. Finally we ended up at the very end of the property where we found a group of deer enjoying a mid afternoon snack. Join us tomorrow for another new video!

Fun Fact: the trail at 22:20 leads all the way to the now abandoned River Country Second Fun Fact: last time I rode my bike down that trail there was a random chicken coop there

When I walked down there I knew what I was getting into, saw a few cool things then got to the chicken coop and turned around, and as I was exiting that area a Disney Security SUV pulled up and I BS'd my way out of just having walked down the road 😂 So if anyone is planning to go see, be warned they patrol the road.

We stayed at Wilderness Lodge, One Bedroom Room, in July 2020, and it was the best Resort or Hotel we have ever gone to. We have stayed in different kinds of Resorts and Hotels over the past 30 years, and Disney Wilderness Lodge is the best. We stayed a whole week in July 2020, and plan to stay there again in 2022. It's expensive but worth the money. All the Food places are great food, delicious, and the view inside the lobby and outside is Gorgeous. I can't wait to go back there again. Also, they are really nice to Service Dogs too. I love how nice the staff is, even at late hours, they are nice. We had car trouble on the way and didn't get to Resort until after 10:30 pm, and they were the sweetest Staff to us. Some staff at other hotels will give that uhhh, why are you late looks and be kind of rude. However, at Wilderness Lodge, they were very nice, helpful , and made sure that we found our room on the 5th floor safely. We plan to go for a 2 week staycation, in 2022. Also, go to all 4 Disney Parks again as well. Anyway, if you have the money, I highly recommend Disney Cooper Creek Villas Wilderness Lodge in Florida. It's a vacation all in one place, food, great service, great rooms, and the most gorgeous views inside and outside. Take Care all, and be Safe, and wear a mask in public.

JessicaLynnOriginal that's also my favorite Disney Hotel from all their properties. The first time I went there was back in 2005 a few weeks before Christmas and O was at awe! Their lobby is breathtaking, the pool, the rooms, the restaurants, the Geyser shoots water every hour of the hour which I got to see. I went back in 2013 and got to see the light show in the middle of the lake We took the ferry boat to Fort Wilderness Lodge, also beautiful and we to see a Disney movie there at a outside movie theater while you can even roast marshmallows while watching a Disney movie, we went on a horse wagon ride through the back trails, ate out there and did some serious shopping at both gift shops. There's so much to do out there and at night you look at the hotel from the back by the pool and it's breathtaking! I could spend out there easily two weeks more. Stay safe.

Thanks for the tour, Tim! A little bit of information since the remodel: WIlderness Lodge now is actually the hotel plus two separate DVC "properties" (declared as completely separate Condo Associations). The original one, formerly called "villas at Wilderness Lodge" has been renamed "Boulder Ridge Villas" and is what you referred to as 'the DVC building'. The new one they're currently selling is called "Copper Creek Villas" and consists of half of the main building which has been remodeled into DVC units plus all the cabins. Also, that TV with info at Geyser point is actually the hotel info channel in every disney room. :) There's a youtuber named "ResortTV1" which has recorded hours of it so you can play it at home and pretend you're in a disney room. haha. Have a great holiday, Merry Xmas, and Happy New Year!

Great video. I've said it before, I'll say it again... I LOVE resort tours. This is a beautiful, rustic resort. I think those new cottages! They are absolutely GORGEOUS, and so spacious. So much land between them, and I love the number posts outside. I'm guessing the potatoes you saw at the mini grocers could be baked on those grills outside the cottages.

Hey Tim, we just left Wilderness Lodge after staying in WDW for 10 days. Wanted to clarify some of your confusion. Wilderness lodge essentially has 3 parts. There's the regular hotel portion and 2 separate DVC parts within the whole resort itself. The Boulder Ridge Villas are the separate building with the different aesthetic that you kept referring to as the DVC building. Then there are the Copper Creek Villas which are inside of the main building. The Boulder Ridge villas used to be the only DVC villas on property and were just called the villas at wilderness lodge, but they were renamed when Copper Creek opened this past July to distinguish between the two. Copper Creek isn't a new construction but rather just a complete remodel of half of the main building. The Cascade Cabins are part of Copper Creek

Hi There! I just subscribed. I enjoyed this video very much. My son and I are in it. We stayed at our Boulder Ridge Villa and checked out 12/24. You caught us on a pool day, walking past the new Salon By The Springs, while you were heading to the Geyser Point Lounge. I was smiling because I recognized you as a KZfaqr. My son looked you up that day, he was surprised I knew about any KZfaq vloggers 😂. The Boulder Ridge Villas opened in 2000, and the Copper Creek Cabins and Villas are brand new. The reason you didn't see the other Copper Creek villas is because they are located on one side of the main building. They renovated hotel rooms into studios, one and two bedroom villas. Thanks for a great video. I can't wait to show my son we made the cut! Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures. Happy new year!

Love the video. Always love what you vlog. The potatoes can be sliced thinly, Fried in a skillet and makes homemade chips. In addition the foliage has to be cut back every so often to let New grow, otherwise it takes over and becomes one big mass. Or if some or dying, need to cut down so doesn’t spread if caused by fungus or disease.

Every time we went, my dad took us to the Fort Wilderness cabins (not the new ones)... we went in 2015 and took my kids too... he loves it because you can park your vehicle right outside, its private, has a kitchen and for the price of a hotel room, we get all of that... plus it is just that boat ride to the magic Kingdom. Had no idea there was a mini grocery store in the lodge. We always stocked up on basics at a store in Orlando then had a dining plan too so eating was easy. Seriously don't think I'll get the dining plan tho... its over a $1,000 for a decent package.

Boulder Ridge Villas are the separate building. Copper Creek Villas are in the main building but on its own side and Copper Creek Cabins are all those cabins. It’s confusing but the room styles vary quite a bit between Wilderness Lodge, Boulder Ridge and Copper Creek. It feels like a different experience with each one!! Also, my favorite thing about Wilderness Lodge is the forest sounds they play at night and how the lights subtlety flicker around the property.
